View Full Version : War could bring peace?
archibring 12-13-05, 11:42 PM when i was a child, i think the war could bring peace. i even wanted to conquer other countries and rule the whole planet. at that time i thought a unified government could work effectively. many problems, such as pollution, racial discrimination, the gap between rich and poor, could be solved then. But now, when i grow up, i find wars could bring great damages. a lot of men are murdered. childern must leave their home and lose the chance of education. the war brings not peace but disorders and troubles. in my mind i still expect a unified government on the planet. but how could we get it? have to make wars?
Communist Hamster 12-14-05, 02:01 PM Perhaps we don't need a central unified government. Perhaps what we actually need is lots of small countries.
And now duendy will come and claim that there already is a unified large government: the Illiminati (without a shred of evidence might I add)
archibring 12-14-05, 07:55 PM more countries, more conflict. is not it?
Communist Hamster 12-15-05, 02:01 AM Possibly, yes. But those conflicts won't be as big as conflicts betweeen superpowers.
archibring 12-15-05, 02:07 AM but their effectiveness is also not as big as superpowers. if there is only one government on the planet, some problems, such as disease, cancer, flood, pollution, could be solved effectively.
esoterik appeal 12-15-05, 02:30 AM technology will be the unifier, not government. machines have no vested interest, unlike the corrupt politicians.
Mosheh Thezion 12-15-05, 03:22 AM War always brings peace... peace through superior firepower...
until the next war.
so its only temporary..
But there is a solution...

TW Scott 12-15-05, 09:51 AM The problem with mankind and war is that we are by far the most aggresive species on the planet. We make rabid wolverines look tame and placid. We make a march of ants look down right cuddly. So naturally if an argument gets too heated we kill.

Without wars/conflicts the word peace would have no meaning. So we need wars so the the word peace can have its meaning.
taylan007 12-18-05, 10:39 AM If people dont experience wars they wont apreciate peace.
Lets hope everyone learns to apreciate it before its too late.
Said by Mikhail Gorbachev (himself) in the cult german film "In weiter Ferne, so nah!"
Here are some very moving verses...
by our fellow country man...
Fyodor Tyuchev, poet and diplomat.
"Unity...
as proclaimed the world over...
can only be forged...
with blood and steel.
We shall let love show us the way.
Then we shall see which one lasts longer. "
I'm certain that a secure world...
can't be built on blood.
Only on harmony.
We humans-- politicians, philosophers...
actors, workers, farmers...
people of all creeds...
we must agree on this.
If we can agree only on this, we will solve all the rest.
Baron Max 12-18-05, 11:59 AM (from your quote): "... Only on harmony. We humans-- politicians, philosophers... actors, workers, farmers... people of all creeds...
we must agree on this. If we can agree only on this, we will solve all the rest."
A small group of people can't even agree on what to order on their damned pizza ...they argue and bitch and moan and complain, yet there are people who'll still hold and adhere to the above childish, foolish ideal!

That is because they are people, that's all.
Unless you dont start like yesterday examining te techniques used to cause conflict between people, then you justify war to bring peace. and/or assume that that is natrual human condition

I agree, and that's why I'm a Nationalist.

I agree. I think war is nothing more than nationally sanctioned arguments. ...violent arguments, perhaps, but arguments, never-the-less. And humans are notoriously competitive and have enormous egos that thirst to win at almost any cost. ...sometimes not even considering what that cost might be.
War is a human state of affairs ...in much the same way as wild animals are territorial and defend that territory. And I think any idealistic thoughts of a world without war is going to mean a world without competitiveness ...which will mean that all humans have been ....nuetered??? Is that the right word?? :)

Other things that can bring “peace”:
1- Extinction.
2- Castration
3- Retardation
4- Re-labeling war into peace.
5- If we kill all women
6- Feminization – I’m half way there myself
7- Drugs/Alcohol
8- T.V.
9- Excessive Masturbation
10- Mass Lobotomies

Well, war and peace are only concepts, too, ain't it? So what?

Not really. War is a concept. Peace is a concept as the opposite of war. But peace is also a state of mind and spirit, which is not just a concept. :m:
