Goodby blue sky.... Everybody is watching what going on in Palestine now, but I think that there are much more important things are happening on the background. Let see the text from today’s Guardian: “Tony Blair will today give the clearest signal yet that Britain is ready to back the United States and go to war against Iraq in a high-risk strategy …….” To be honest before you and aimed better understanding of my post, please throw away such an ideas like democracy, justice, UN, equity and so on. Let focus only on interests of nations in long term perspective. I’m asking you that, because during war which is coming the ideas like above disappears from people minds. Nevertheless the reality of the danger imposed by mass destruction weapons in Iraq, what profits can bring the victory with Saddam Hussein to US? There are some: 1. Liquidation of most opponent government to US policy 2. Changing the political balance in such an important region like main power sources in the world 3. Liquidation of most dangerous power for Israel OK. let assume that the war with Iraq has been already finished and Iraq now is a friend of US (like Afghanistan)– what is next? The countries like Jordan, Syria and Lebanon automatically changing their policy with Israel. They have no choice because of two powers on the opposite site of their borders– Israel becomes stronger brother and they has to listen him. What is next? Iran – this is a question of time to force the changing the policy and/or government of this member of “Evil axes”. Pakistan – the only Islamic country with nukes (potentially the worse opponent) has been already involved in conflict with India – will not make a move. The rest Islamic countries simply change their minds. What about people? I think that some nukes used against Iraq will bring immediately victory (the time is crucial in this conflict) and impose great fear among Arabic countries. Than, Israel is safety like never before (I’m sure it take a part in a war against Iraq), USA the only policeman on world becomes also the only cashier of the world – they have a control over main power sources in the world and from now they can dictate almost everything to other countries. I think that in 10 years perspective such organizations like UN will disappear because there will be no power to change US policy. You say: but democracy, but the people! I say: don’t be silly. Within next 10 years the electronical and psychological techniques will bring to government so power to control the majority opinion that democracy will remain as an idea not necessary connected with practice. Have I forgotten about something? Yes, I described successful case of the war with Iraq, but I forgot about worst case. I forgot about China. About 4 month ago I create a topic on this forum “What going on with ABN?” where I described growing military and economy potential of China – he only rival of USA in next 10 years. There is a next topic recently created: “War on China”. On both topics possibility of war between USA and China is quite probably. Now, please try to watch the war against Iraq and it’s consequences (described above) from China’s perspective. Don’t think they are stupid, we have to assume that they cold minded and very intelligent. Don’t forget that it isn’t a democratic country (in democratic countries the governments are not easy with war because of short time of their governing and great risk for the country) – the China governors have got a great risk of loss in case US win the war on Iraq. So what can be the China decision? They have the dilemma: If not now - then never If NO – the future is described above If YES – it means III WW with all of it’s consequences – they will attack with whole power. It is easy to lose sight of the big picture when one is on the ground. Just a few comments... IRAQ - OIL and Consumers DEMOCRACY - Keep business growing to reduce high unemployment or economic tormoil like Argentina. CHINA - Over 5000 years of culture, very smart to know what is important what is not. IRAN - Let them stew on their own juice for a while. A heaven for terrorists. Isolation. PAKISTAN - Keep your enemies closer. ISRAEL - Just another state PALESTINE - Ethiopia UK - US wanabee
