I am looking for a file converter (preferably free) that can convert multiple WMA type media files to MP3 files, so i can burn them to a CD... anyone know of any good programs?

FYI- trans-encoding from one compressed file format to another is a generally bad idea. The resulting file will be of lower quality than the original compressed file, with twice the likelyhood of audio errors in comperison with the original audio....
Besides, WMA files should be burnable directly to CD with any common CD-Burning app.
Unless they are music purchased from an online retialer in a WMA protected format which dis-allows any CD burning. In such a case, I'm sure that there is some sort of DRM-ripper applications available online; these will remove the DRM without hurting the audio quality (like Hymn does for iTunes files).

As long as you have paid for the files, and only remove the DRM in order to allow for legal, fair-use, then stripping the DRM is only in violation of the DMCA, and not copyright law in the US.
