W97M.Marker.N virus

    I've just found one of my friends has this virus, does anyone know where a patch is? I don't know what anti-virus software she has, if that's a consideration.

    W97M.Marker.N Virus Description:
    Whenever a document is closed, there is a 1 in 3 chance that WM97/Marker-N will amend the File|Properties information to:

    Title: Ethan Frome
    Author: EW/LN/CB
    Keywords: Ethan

    Its a Word 97 Macro virus apparently, and an old one at that. Have you run an anti virus prog?

    There is a sticky thread withs link to some free anti virus progs at the top of the CS&S forum.
