could we make a virus that would deliver DNA coding for small interfering RNA sequences that would disrupt the production of melanin synthesis enzyme or enzymes? that would be so cool.

I'd rather have a virus that inserts a sequence that jacks up melenin production. besides being more protective against UV radiation, I'd look soo cool. :)

If a vaccine came with it, you could even make it reversible - tan in the summer - and you could maybe spread it by kissing people.

Seems like it would be simpler to take dance lessons, and hire someone to translate rap lyrics for you, but to each their own - - -
