NightFall 03-13-03, 08:18 AM um since no one else has posted, i don't fell too stupid asking um.. what are you talking about? hypewaders 03-13-03, 08:28 AM March 15 EMERGENCY CONVERGENCE ON THE WHITE HOUSE to STOP THE WAR ON IRAQ (http://www.internationalanswer.org/campaigns/m15/index.html) VAKEMP 03-13-03, 09:14 AM You sure you put the link in right? ***Edit: Nevermind, I got it to work. hypewaders 03-14-03, 07:31 PM I'm curious if anyone else here is protesting tomorrow. jps 03-15-03, 01:12 AM hypewaders, I'll be there. I'm guessing the turnout isn't going to be great as I don't think its been as widely publicized as 2/15 in NYC was. I hope I'm wrong. There are posters and stickers all over NYC for UFPJ's next demo which will be on the 22nd, and this time they're going to march permit or not. Unfortunately I’m too far right now to joining you, as much as I would like to. I’m doing other things all the time in various ways. Nevertheless, when you’re there You Tell’m them OK! This is not a WAR, it is an INVASION there’s a big differences, and by changing the wording it doesn’t make it lesser crime!;) jps 03-16-03, 03:35 PM So, who else was there? I went down, for a change of pace, with the Internationalist Group. Maybe you saw us. we stood out quite a bit with the big red flags and the chants of "DEFEAT US IMPERIALISM" all by ourselves with no one joining in. imperialism is a hard word to chant. hypewaders 03-16-03, 05:58 PM Well, the Emergency Diversion Around the White House bogged down with minimal civil disobedience. Accordingly, we got less coverage in DC (250,000+ making a LOT of noise) than did approx. 90 pro-war demonstrators. Shortly after arriving around 11:00 am, Army 1 and her 2 decoys went whomping down the Potomac BELOW treetop level until out of earshot. They were so paranoid miving Bush or Cheney that a crowd with large rocks on the riverbanks could have brought them down. If we had carried AK-47s and RPGs like demonstrators did in Baghdad Saturday, maybe we would have gotten some airtime. I think that the next demonstration needs to occupy CNN Center in Atlanta, along with every node necessary in the network to keep on the air for several hours, so America can hear the rest of the story. Good day. |
