My maths teacher was an expert in vedic maths. He was pretty much a genius.
I however was and still am the complete opposite. Vedic maths, conventional maths, nothing works.

It is interesting to know that 'zero' is used as place-holder / filler in some of the short-cuts.! The need for zero orginated in India.
