The vandals were not 'heroes.' They are cowards. They should have done it in daylight when they could be seen instead of sneaking out at dark. And they did it again after the damage was repaired.

i find your comment offensive my family liberal and in no way shape or form would any member of my family condone such an act. my GERMAN grandfather has numbers tatooed on him from when he was forced to work for the nazis. i know of no rational person left or right that condone such things and the fact that you would imply that they would to me is amoral unethical and offensive

Texan Larry Chad Northern has been arrested for allegedly driving his pickup truck over hundreds of grave markers at Camp Casey bearing the names of soldiers who died in the Iraq War. Northern is an Army veteran who was reportedly awarded a Purple Heart for his service in Vietnam, a Republican supporter, and president of a local gun club.

It seems his disdain was for Sheehan and her actions. Those weren't graves or grave markers. They were PROPS used by Sheehan to get some attention and make her point. There are no graves at camp casey.

Northern hates Sheehan and her mockery of the USA.
I can't say I disagree with what he did.

Now if he had run down grave markers at real graves of U.S. troops, I would have been outraged and wished prison for him.

get over it. its a grave. if you had any sense you would harvest as many organs as possible then leave the rest to decompose in a mausoluem before dumping whats left in the forest somewhere.

He ran over the flags and disrespected the troops, who those grave markers were intended to honor. It was a memorial for our dead soldiers, even if temporary.

I'm only outraged that someone would do that to Cindy Sheehan, a well-meaning mother only trying to find out why her son is dead.

Yes she was indeed. She was also not a Democrat, and not a puppet of anyone. She didn't leave due to her being unpopular, she has been demonized from the start and left by her own decision.
