I heard the clip of this press conference on the radio. How much further will these people slide into the depths of depravity? I am sickened by this. Fleisher is advocating assassination; vigilanteism.
They played this on CNN's Crossfire as "Quote of the Day". Even Bob Novak appeared stunned, referring to it as a dangerous mistake; Carville as another sign of their incompetence.
CNN says that Ari has been doing damage control, personally calling reporters over his statement and it's context. The reporter tried to let him clarify in the press conference, and he did. It was not taken out of context at all.
    Peace.

Finding it a little difficult to see what the problem is, actually.

How about the problem that by tacitly approving the assassination of Saddam Hussein, the administration is giving the nod to anyone that wants to take Junior out – or any other American President.

There have already been a few calls for a regime change here in the “Land of the Free”.

    Peace.

I liked the Clinton whitehouse spokesperson. He was much cooler, and he came from Maine, btw.

But as for this it sounds almost as if he's commenting on a plan by the CIA.

The U.S. corporate/government never got out of the killing business, they just changed their methodology. Inciting revolution or mass murder is second nature to them, now. The list of countries they've destroyed or destabilized that way includes almost every country in the world that is non-white governed. They are a racist, imperialistic regime and for evidence you need only look to Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and now going down into Columbia. They were in Haiti, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Cuba and a bunch of other islands in that group. They were in about thirty country in Africa, and are still in some. The Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos and the list goes on and on. The U.S. has been warring in more country than any other society in History. And for what? Does the U.S. really have "national security concerns" everywhere that it starts wars? Not likely. The U.S. corporate/government is the most evil regime in history. They have killed, or caused to be killed, far more people than did the previous worst regime in history, The Nazi's.

When the U.S. uses their spokesman to try and incite someone to shoot Saddam Hussein, they are merely continuing their evil plotting. They put out the idea that war will be prevented that way, simply because they are becoming desperate. They know that world opinion is turning against their rotten way of conducting foreign policy, and they are reluctant to change their way and become good people, because in doing that they foresee the erosion of their power, which, ultimately, is the only interest they are concerned for.

As I have said in other threads, we are more free than most but not perfect. We at least do not execute dissedents.

You know, few in america know WHY there is so much anti-American sentiment. That includes me.

    One-sided middle eastern policy?

    Big stick foreign policy?

    Economic domination of the world?

    Total lack of culture?

Selling media that destroys the cultures it invades?

Completely blind to anyone else's position but our own?

    FUCK AMERICA

    Goofyfish:
That makes no sense, Goofyfish. Let's look at this:

1: American prez wants to take out his enemy.

2: Therefore, American prez is fair game.

There's no logical connection between one and two.

Since when was hypocrisy in politics a bad thing? As long as the secret service does its job, does it really matter?

    Prozak:
Grab your ankles, Prozak sweetie, because we'll be around for a while. We're big and powerful and we're going to be staying that way for a while.

What are you going to do, whine about how amoral America is? Hint hint, sweetie pie, morality is a crutch for twits like you. It don't really exist.

Fine, but won't don't you stick to strutting your stuff around your own backyard instead of everyone else's?

Can't say it's because someone got in yours. That would be too too hypocritical.

Governmental power, as all social forms of power, seeks to increase itself. Allows it to pass memes along better.

Who the fuck cares whether it's hypocritical or not?
