Perhaps the time has come to seriously discuss giving Palestinian villages currently under Israeli sovereignty (inside the Green Line) to their Palestinian brethren, such as Umm el-Fahm and the villages in the Triangle, and perhaps additional villages located in areas that are contiguous with the Palestinian Authority.
When the idea came up during The Hague fence festival, it was described by MK Azmi Bishara as racism.
...
The terribly intriguing question is why a Palestinian nationalist should be so opposed to having Palestinian citizenship.
...
I try to imagine what would happen if it were the other way around, if I lived in a Palestinian state and were offered to move over to Israeli sovereignty without even having to leave my home. What more could I ask for?
some very patriotic citizens we have here!
this one (Bishara), and other Arab members of Knesset, have met with Assad (Syria's president), Nasrallah (head of Hezbollah's), his holiness Arafat, commanders of DFLP (a terrorist organization) and other enemies of the state.
if any citizen of Israel was to do so he would have gone straight to Jail.
one member of the Knesset told Bishara a few days ago "no democratic country would let you meet with Nasrallah and then return to this chamber (Knesset). You'd be going to jail instead"
and for that Bishara calld him a racist.
as i said, VERY patriotic citizens!
