Whether or not we (the USA) use nukes -- we shouldn't be the first to use them imho (but should definitely be the last one standing after expending a number appropriate for total vaporization of everyone remotely attached to a nuke attack on the US: hear the warning (you know who you are) -- it should be for something other than whose god is the lovingest, bestest, baddest smiter of the bunch. You lost me in the first sentence with "the guts to kill", Don. It takes more guts to reason. When the reaction to terrorism is a cycle of military response, terrorism will always win. When solid international police work is aggressively directed in an environment of international cooperation; when arrest (or possible death if arrest is resisted) is a probability for violent international criminals; when conviction for guilt a near certainty; and punishment severe; and last but not least, when attention is focused on the conditions that breed a level of desperation and hatred, sufficient to produce violent and suicidal resistance- That's when terrorism loses. Do you really think groups like Qaeda are weaker since the Busheviks seized the initiative? Want to live in the Busheviks America of the future? It's easy, Don- you can do it today.
