View Full Version : USA-bashing websites
The lower end of education in Austalia...
Why America Sucks (http://members.dingoblue.net.au/~marshall_family/)
Catch My Head (http://www.geocities.com/catchmyhead/)
Now, the worst part is I actually know these people. And one in particular is about as dumb as you might think.
Ugh, second one exhibits kindergarten-level spelling. Yeah, they're stupid, Adamski.....
But I did find this amusing:
"1) Claiming to be the number one nation, and the most powerful nation, loudly and often, does not make the statement true. It does, however, make the rest of the world piss on your flag and want to kill the cast of Friends"
Ha ha ha!
Sometimes these websites are sting operations too...
Sometimes. But like I said, I know these people. Dumb.
Looks like "Bell Curve" still rules....
By the way, the people responsible for those sites have completed high school. Amazing, eh?
Well, stupid or not, arguments on first site are still mostly true. But lists like that can be written about Australia and any other country, not just USA. Everyone whants to be #1 right?
GB-GIL Trans-global 05-19-02, 02:27 AM "Patriotism is the conviction that your country is superior because you were born in it." --George Bernard Shaw, author, playwright, philosopher.
This is taken to the max in the US.
And not every other country?
Even those countries who are down and out and still dream of being
what they once were?
Take care
Edit: For clarity

Yup. It has merchandise, too.
Some of those in the first list were true. A lot were half true. And some were funny B.S.
I live in Canada, and I want to kill the cast of friends, Rosseane, and Oprah! The thing about health care made some sense. And if there is one thing I dislike about the United States, It Is Your President ("God bless America", arrrgh) ! (And I know he doesn't like our Prime Minister, heh)
But yeah, we could make a list up for any country.
BTW, those chaps seem to have gotten the flag upside down.. Is that a metaphor for how the U.S. is.. upside down(??) ? Or were the authors of the site just a little confused.
Traditionally, the flying of a national flag upside down is a distress
signal, at least at sea.
Take care :)

Not usually to the same degree.
