Cuba Invasion

WASHINGTON - U.S. military leaders proposed in 1962 a secret plan to commit terrorist acts against Americans and blame Cuba to create a pretext for invasion and the ouster of Communist leader Fidel Castro, according to a new book about the National Security Agency.
"We could develop a Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities and even in Washington," said one document reportedly prepared by the Joint Chiefs of Staff. "We could blow up a U.S. ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba," the document says. "Casualty lists in U.S. newspapers would cause a helpful wave of indignation."

Asguard 01-07-03, 04:25 AM so DID it happen?
OmgaRoot 01-07-03, 05:05 AM Yes it did happen, but not the way the us wanted it to happen. First off US made some fake propaganda and photos showing how bad they were, than they asked the us people for a poll to attack Cuba. One example is a time a person might of been US or Miami Cuban, flew a plane over Cuban and droped pices of anti-Castro papers alll over Cuba. He flew over no fly zones, and Cuba had asked the plane to either go back to wherever. But the plane keept comeing back and spreading more Propaganda, and so finaly Cuba shot down the plane. Of course they US made it seem like it was just an inocent plane that they attack with out warning. They did sorta get to attack Cuba. When US or the Miami Cubans attacked during the Bay Of Pigs Invasion, even though, truman had signed a Doctine saying no US miltary units would phyicaly attack Cuban. The US had use the Miami cubans to attack for them, and they broke the law by useing US planes and Pilots as well as some infantry.
Asguard 01-07-03, 05:07 AM i ment more recently
like 11/9 for example
OmgaRoot 01-07-03, 05:27 AM Oh I c. Will I dont know about sept 11th yah, my anti goverment would say Its not true the US did it to frame the Afgans but there isnt much evidence to sugest they would do it. Unlike the bomb attack in 1993 I think it was. When there was a bomb in the WTC. That atleast has some compleing evedince. For example 100 CIA/FBI agents didnt show up for work that day. Did they know it was going to happen, or did they plan it. Either case its bad, but If they planed it, than it was probly to attack who ever the blamed it on.
RichardJA 01-07-03, 05:37 AM what interests me was the way the towers came down, looked like a control blast to me. Of course there is also the report from a BBC journalist that before the towers came down he heard another explosion, and there is also the mystery of what the Richter scale showed prior to the collapse. There is one other thing, but I wont mention it. Oh, and why, all of a sudden did the procedure change for the airforce scrambling straight away when a plane goes off course.
goofyfish 01-07-03, 05:46 AM Can you say "conspiracy theory"?
Asguard 01-07-03, 05:47 AM question
if they intened to kill that many people why would they care about a few public servants???????
especially as them being there makes it seem more beliveable
Asguard 01-07-03, 05:50 AM yea goofy i can and i hate to belive crack pot stuff but ANYTHING to make people actully DEMAND evidance rather than leting go of the justice system all together
if the "illegal combatatnts" (who i might well add the US made war ON so i dont see how its THERE fault they were fighting the US troops) are presumed guilty why not the US goverment????
RichardJA 01-07-03, 05:51 AM no I can't. It's hard when you have a friend whose line of work means you know what the press never reported :D
Asguard, don't forget about the Pentagon, there were deaths there. The only reason my friend didn't die in his office that day was because i MADE him take that week off work. Well, until it crashed into the pentagon, then he had to go and set his department back up. Them nice boys in the US government even tried to refuse him retiring a few months latter after he had a stroke.
Asguard 01-07-03, 05:53 AM hmmmmm
that IS strange seeing as the illeged traget was the white house

It's hard when you have a friend whose line of work means you know what the press never reported... Ahhh... so your "friend" violates the conditions of his employment and his security clearance by divulging confidential information to you? Perhaps that is the reason behind them attempting to deny his retirement. Perhaps the airline attack on the Pentagon was aimed at eliminating your friend! When that failed, PERHAPS they then covertly administered a poison that produced symptoms mimicking a stroke!
:m: Peace.
RichardJA 01-07-03, 05:58 AM no, not strange. I made him take the week off because of his health. It was a pure fluke that he was home durring what happened, if he hadn't been ill he would of been there. He would of died if he was there. The guy in the office next to his, Dan, was left with third degree burns, wasn't found until that night.
Asguard 01-07-03, 06:00 AM im confused
i missread and thought u said THEY made him take the week off
RichardJA 01-07-03, 06:07 AM nope, stroke was health related.
Actually he retired not long after that because of medical complications, set up a private company and now has a number of contracts from the government.
Asguard, re-read, I made him take it off.

Clockwood 01-07-03, 04:06 PM Things have nob been this friendly with cuba scince the Cuban Missle Crisis. Castro has mellowed out over the years and in response we have gradually been lifting trade barriers.
Once American visitors are allowed in in mass we are going to swiftly become busom buddies. Whoever is leader then will realize that the happier we are the more tourism and corperate investment they will get.
We would both have more to gain if we were willing trade partners.
Empty Dragon 01-07-03, 05:47 PM An american company could dominate Cuba. Taking over a country economicaly is the easies way to conquer it.
Asguard 01-07-03, 06:36 PM why SHOULD they let americans in?????
i thought every country had the right to control its OWN borders
*stRgrL* 01-07-03, 06:38 PM This coming from someone who feels so bad for the poor Middle Eastern illegal immigrants being held here in the US for violating the law:rolleyes:
Asguard 01-07-03, 06:40 PM yes
see you KNOW the laws BEFORE you come over
you CLAIM to have free sociaty, they dont
i doubt they advatise for americans to come over
edit to change you to they

Cuba's doing very nicely with it's Mexican, Canadian and European trading partners. By the time the US gets it's sulky act together, all the goodies will be gone. No share of the pie.
Think about it. The only countries in the entire world who support America's economic embargo are Israel and the Marshall Islands.
As it is, the only ones losing out are US businesses and US farmers in particular.
Empty Dragon 01-08-03, 05:34 PM The Us should make more embargos that way the rest of the world can have trade...j/k:rolleyes:
