My cable TV gets about 30 programs simultaneously through one single wire. The 30 programs (I suppose) are chopped at the sender into some small packages which go through the wire to my TV set where they are decoded. I do not notice this process happening because my perception is not disturbed by (too quick to be noticed) coding and decoding. Thus it looks as if I had a thirty wires cable.

Could something similair be happening with the Universe?Imagine (to make it simple) that there are two different universes present simultaineously at the same place. They alternate in the speed of light. So that we do not notice the other universe - it could be possible to experience the "other universe" if we exceeded the speed of light. Then we could see through this alternation. Would this alternative universe qualifify as an another set of dimensions (3,4,5)?

What if space is oscillating like a sine wave. When the sine is positive, this universe exists, and when the sine is negative, the other universe exists. If the switching between the two happened fast enough, and if only positive-positive and negative-negative sines can react with each other, then it would be possible that there are two universes, one of which we wouldn't see.

ProCop, why the hell do you insist on trying to describe the universe with mundane technological concepts you don't even fully understand? What's with you and the "home entertainment Universe?" Get out from in front of your TV for a while and read a book, man.

In any event, the channels on your cable TV line are not "chopped" -- they occupy different segments of the frequency spectrum. To tune a channel, you simply put a bandpass filter around the channel you want, and mix it to baseband with a local oscillator. The result is then used to drive the yoke, which paints the image on the screen.

In no way whatsoever can you make the leap from TV cables to universes (or, for that matter, from DVD players to universes). The metaphors don't even make any sense. It's just dumb.

Suppose the weak.strong,nuclear etc force are the metaphoric bandpass filters, than stretching/tweaking them must give you a glimpse of the other "channels" Some string theorists even use 26 dimensions for their model, but I feel they dream them up to fill gaps in their theory, however they could be right , maybe someday we will build the cosmic remote control, we already see some signs of modulating mother nature in our huge accelerators: anti-matter, strange matter etc, now let's hope we make it to the commercial break before ice-9 transition happens:D

Sounds to me as if you've got a look at Super String in a way.

From what I have discussed in the past and worked out now. the theory is along the same lines.

Space has no dimensions, but can house every dimension within it. From our perspective our world exists within a universe, where we naturally perceive four dimensions:

Length, Width, Depth and Time.

Now that universe as a whole has a finite Quanta thats size, weight, density is based on our "relative" positioning to it.

Multiworlds theory dictates that the universe we exist in, isn't one "Layer or wire" but a multiple number of "layers or wires".
Each layer/wire would from a similar relative positioning be the same dimensions, weights and quanta's.

Only if you looked from one layer/wire to another layer/wire would you actually possibly see a difference in dimension, weight or quanta in regards to your own.

There is an explanation that these layers/wires are the way that communication between subatomic particles occurs to create the non-locality effects and keep superpositioned matter in a stable entangled form.

There is some theory as to if the layers/wires were to house positioning differences of matter, would that matter be effected by it's parallel counterpart?

(This is where Erwin Schrodingers theoretical experiment "Schrodingers Cat" comes into play. You'll have to do a google search to get the jist of what the experiment was about.)

Interesting post. Being an outsider at this field I have some querries which are difficult to form an opinion about. What is the relation/influence of alternating universes to e.g. temperature. Imagine you have an identical (spacial/dimensial) position in alternating universes. In one the spot is in a heatfull location at the other universe it is in the freezer. Would these two temperatures influence one another during the alternation? Is there some sort of "balance" which puts limits on happenings in both universes, eg inventivity of the thinking elements in one universe could be contained because the other universe would come into problems by eg introducin a new synthetic chemical product here?

This is where I'm sure many people will beeline to some books on Thermal-Dynamics and find that this section has yet to be printed.

From what I have learnt although be it from theory (presently waiting to apply practical evidence to make it proven).

There are only so many things that can have a relationship between universes, and all fall into Quantum theory. For normal mass there is the magnetic field, that would appear as dark matter. Magnetic fields can cause fluctuating distortions between the universes if utilised properly.

If I was to stand a lit candle as the object I wanted to "displace" between worlds, I would find that although my hand would burn over the candles position on the world it exists, I would only sense heat on the other and even see luminousity.
(Of course if the heat was intensified enough it would burn, notibly "radiation" can transponse through universes. So a bright arc of Light could cause a similar effect to a suntan, even if a person happens to be out in the dark.)

As for quanta changes in reference to quantum layers, you would have to ask the questions "Animal, Mineral or Vegetable".
Quanta changes in rocks, and processed metals could cause structural defects, even a lesser radioactive decay effect.
(in the sense that an object could raise sounds on a Geiger counter)

As for a vegetable, well plant life might utilise some of the radiation caused by the multiworld-positioning to edulge itself in growth although it might act a bit like a GM crop.

As for animals, every cell in an animals body has encoded within it the ability to "sense", sensing changes from signals temperature, light or pain.

I mention this because if for a split instance a person was split into a number of worlds and their quanta became misaligned, they are quite likely to freak out at what they feel and sense.
Sight, sounds and smell could be effected, along with feelings of nausia not to mention the overwhelming paranoia enduced from being put into that position. (like not knowing the eventuum.)

I mention this because the person would likely take a seeming irrational decision to run and move fast and want to be moving.
(In the instances of movement the quantum layers "Strafe" or trace, which would lower the combined levels down and cause an equilisation of the overall quanta).

There is a possibility though that if the quanta was too malformed throughout the layers that it could Super-combust the multiworld positioned structure. (Perhaps SHC if it happened to a person, but this isn't "fact")
