“It is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”

    -Hermann Goering

I would like to see a thread collecting ideas and actions that Americans can employ to resist the above tactic. It will be critical in the years ahead that Americans rediscover true courage and American individualism. How can Americans find the Grit to be brave: Our culture is politically immature, and Washington is frightening its children for power. The US government has changed course, and is picking up speed toward a very different and unpredictable future. How can American citizens find their courage, and their voice?

I am ashamed to admit American Grit is not in great evidence. The Democrats still haven't articulated any unified, viable alternative to the disastrous new direction the Busheviks are taking the US. No 3rd political party seems to be rising. In the general population, Americans express little knowledge, interest, or opinion regarding our very portentious geopolitical event horizon.

Growing participation in demonstrations and rallies is a sign of some assertiveness. Alternative media is on the rise. I would certainly contribute to alternative media, and even small venues like sciforums should appeal for contributions if they need support to increase their visibility.

I want to do more for my country. Ideas, anyone?

Even before the 9/11 I dedicated several years in the researching for facts of severe wrong doing by our government , and the three most powerful groups that really are pulling the strings on anything and everything that is taking place in our lives. Until the incident of 9/11, my opinion was that it was the thirst to control capital and over patriotic sick mentality in over protecting interest in our land at any price.

On 9/11 I watched the incidents live and while listening to the first interviewed eyewitness on the Pentagon incident I noticed that there was something wrong, not just that by been a pilot you kind of judge certain things differently concerning planes, but it just seamed like a bad act.

By now, I have mountains of reports and documents, for every speculation or theoretical judgment I search for factual dates, names, incidents and try to connect the dots in searching how accurate are those cries about conspiracies. I am glad I reacted quickly, because many publication found on the internet, have being erased by the passing of time. So, as soon as I get links I collect the information contents just in case that in the future there are not available.

Please, check the following links as references, check them with opened mind and as ugly and horrible as some information its, don’t just say it is impossible, try to probe it to your self that it is actually impossible.

Don’t take my word for anything, just follow the white rabbit, your knowledge, intuition logic and commonsense.

    G.W. Bush CV!

NO ONE does it worse than George W Bush

Thanks to George W Bush, Texas is ranked worse than any other state:

48th in per-capita funding for public health
47th in delivery of social services
    42nd in child-support collections
49th in spending on the environment. (Texas is larger than a dozen of our other states added up together!) If the value of who we have running things in another 30 years matters to you, pay careful attention.
41st in per-capita spending on public education Lowest in spending for teachers' salaries in the U.S.
5th in percentage of population living in poverty
1st in air and water pollution... WORST RECORD IN U.S. history
lowest percentage of poor working parents with insurance
Lowest percentage of children with health insurance in U.S.

Microzoft, I'm keeping an open mind, but I can't yet give the dark behind-the-scenes forces so much credit yet, for masterfully manipulating events. I do believe they are manipulating fear, using the tactics that Goering spoke of at Nuremburg. But I also think the Busheviks are vulnerable, and their global strategy flawed fatally. Tragicly the fatality will begin with innocents and loyal but squandered warriors.

I think the "Men in Black" portrayals of America's manipulators won't sell. I'll say this regarding 9-11: after 20 years and over 5,000 hours of flying, there was nothing implausible to me as a pilot about the events of that tragic day, as we have come to understand them. I do believe that the media has failed to convey the reasons for those attacks, but I have yet to be swayed toward a credible conspiracy surrounding them.

I'm looking for ideas applicable to nonviolently hastening America's repudiation of recent delusions of hegemony through unprecedented global deployment (and dilution) of military force. I write my representatives, volunteer for local political action, participate in protests, and talk with anyone who will. I want to do more, and spend my energy more effectively. I'm hoping for something I haven't thought of, or new ways of expressing the folly that lies ahead for my country.

How can Americans find the Grit we take such pride in: Washington is frightening its constituency for power. The US government has changed course, and is picking up speed toward a very different and unpredictable future. How can American citizens find the courage, and voice to meet this threat? Good ideas most appreciated.

If you live in a representative democracy, and vote, you vote to elect people to do just that: determine policy for you.

Whether or not the policy du jour is of your liking.

If you want to determine specific policy yourself, get your sorry ass elected.

Or become king or dictator by your ability.

This is such a lame thread.

    Thanks for contributing, Mr.G.
"If you live in a representative democracy, and vote, you vote to elect people to do just that: determine policy for you.

My, that's easy! Why am I an activist, if I vote in every election? You suggest I should sit back and trust this leadership. Trouble is, Americans can't stay true to our vaunted freedom-loving ideals, while acquiescing to an "elected" executive branche that has outstepped Constitutional authority, and has deviated wildly from their campaign platform. We don't elect kings here.

George W. Bush promised voters before his "election" that he would pay down the national debt and cut the deficit (he did not). He promised not to raid Social Security's trust fund (he did) He said "We will not do anything that harms our economy" (he did). He promised to spend more on education and leave "no child left behind"(he cut education). Bush promised to provide prescription drugs to seniors under Medicare (he didn't). He stated that "peacekeeping in places like the Balkans should be left to others"(our troops are keeping something almost everywhere now). He said "promises made to our veterans will be promises kept." (he won't honestly explain why he is committing troops to protracted combat and occupation, why he stripped health benefits from military retirees). He promised to be accountable (and 9-11 does not absolve him) He said "I will restore honor and integrity to the white house", and in his first (& hopefully only) term is already under scrutiny for considerably more than lies about sexual impropriety.

This thread is admittedly lame, Mr.G- but not because democracy is healthy in the USA.

This Fat Blastard new it was all very simple- none of his gang were really all that brilliant- they just knew how to quickly dull a nation's collective IQ:

“It is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. I keep hoping Americans will be too smart to fall for this too deeply. But every day I wonder...
