I hate art. It's because I'm not an artist, and art represents something I can never have (but sure as hell willing to imitate).

As a writer, well, as one who just writes, I never write for just me. I write with you in mind. Pedantically, I'm "giving" you my word.

Writing seems to have an inherent promise in it. This promise carries the weight of spoken word, and just like speaking it's very easy to break the promise. Easy to be hypocritical, or just an inactive 'activist'. Writing carries in it an intrinsic broken promise.

Art, though, gets to just be. Art can be a statement, an expression, or nothing, or whatever, but, the simple act of creation of art is enough. Art needs to be nothing more, nor nothing less, it promises no one, contradicts nothing, and always acts.

    Fuck art.

Do you hate everything that you can't have or can't do? If so, why?

Yes, but only the things I wish to be a part of but can't.

    Coping mechanism?
