got this movie from Kazaa
I wanted to get Olympia, but must say that this also is a very impressive movie

Designed by Nazis, for Nazis, and about Nazis. Triumph of the Will was filmed by the German Propaganda Ministry in 1934 and directed by Leni Riefenstahl. The film covers the events of the Sixth Nuremburg Party Congress. The original intention was to document the early days of the NSDAP, so as future generations could look back and see how the Third Reich began. In reality, Triump des Willens shows historians how the Nazi state drew in the masses through propaganda and also how Adolf Hitler had a unique and terrifying ability to entice crowds to his beliefs by the very power of his words.

she is still alive and I wouldn't give her more than 70!
I'm her admirer - a truly great director

They're awesome movies that can only be discussed under controlled conditions (Jew Taboo at work).

this move is nothing but propaganda for the "beauty" and "strength" of the "Übermensch"...

btw leni riefenstahl is a 90 year old bitch still thinking the same way as millions of germans did 60 years ago, sorry to say, but its true

Where is the scientific proof that she's wrong?

I think that your thoughts are an outcome of the American propoganda

the movie is beautiful and Nietzsche is my favourite philosopher, so I am interested in the Übermensch

Leni Riefenstahl is a 100 year old genious director
a wonderful personality and.....I also think a bit like those Germans then only I apply the ideas to all humanity...

Sie Hail! :p

Hitler's ubermensch was an obscene charicature of Nietzsche's.

Where is the scientific proof that she's wrong?

One rarely proves political theories in the lab.
Idiot.

*Edit*

Oh yeah, the movie. Brilliant directing, brilliant use of imagry. The way she works in the Christian symbols is an ingenious work of propeganda - if amusing, as the Jews are responsible for the cancer of Christianity. But still, quite brilliant indeed. Haven't watched in years, though.

The work of Riefenstahl is important because 1. she captures an important moment in history, 2. She was a female director, not very common at that time and even nowadays! 3. She used some innovative camera-techniques to create dramtic cinematic effects.

Also Stalin used gifted artists to make impressive agitprop and also the Soviets were very good with statues, but having some appreciation for the artistic quality doesn't mean I support Hitler or Stalins ideology...

1) Not entirely correct regarding the ubermensch: Hitler and Nietzsche were both Nationalists who believed in Eugenics.

2) Race is not a political theory, but a scientific one.

Jew. ;)

Nietzsche a nationalist?
*Laughs hysterically*

"Where the state ends - look there, my brothers! Do you not see it, the rainbow and bridges of the overman?"

2) Race is not a political theory, but a scientific one.

True, but fascism is a political theory.

Inbred. ;)

Nationalism has nothing to do with "state" as he mentions it.

Otherwise, almost competent post. Where's your camel?

Please clarify.

My camel? Transformed into a lion.

Statist doctrines use political definitions to construe nation, while nationalism does not.

Camels change to lions only after certain events transpire. If so, good.
