Has enyone built a trebuchet before. I'm currently working on a scale model of one and was wondering if any had some suggestions.

Trebuchets- a kind of medieval siege engine, very pwoerful. But they can be made only a foot or so high, to demonstrate the principle, or else can be as simple as an arm on a vertical pole, with some rope for people to pull on. Oh, and a sling, the sling is very important, it generates so much power in part from the way teh stone is released. Apparently Edward the first, in about 1296 or so, had one when he attacked Stirling castle. Allegedly the first shot demolished the gatehouse, and he may have ignored the garrisons please for surrender in order to test his fancy new toy out more.
