Anyone out there know what 'Mahal' means? It's a Filipino word. Is there a site out there where one can get words and phrases in Filipino that can at least help in writing in a way that people who speak the language can understand.

if something is MAHAL, than it is expensive

the only other way MAHAL is used, is in reference to love.
if you love someone, than you say that you MAHAL that person.
tell that person, "I MAHAL you."
or you can say that you MAHAL your parents or God.

there is no word for LOVE (in terms of loving and caring for another person) in filipino.
at least none that i know of.
so i guess thats why they use MAHAL when reffering to that type of LOVE even though MAHAL really means EXPENSIVE.

of course when you r talking about the love of chocolate or something like that, ther r other words for it. this is a diffferent type of love.

The movie was terrible. It didn't capture the Dune universe in the right light, and what was with them thinking all the time. It just didn't mull together :bugeye:
