Transformers was a nice movie, however my sister enjoyed it more than me and my bro.

The problem was too much humans and not enough Transformers.

I would have liked more Optimus Priime than Shia Le Bauf.

Maybe they will fix this with the sequel.

I have absolutely no interest in watching this movie, but I loved the cartoons, I loved the original Transformers cartoon movie, and I loved the beast wars/beast machines.

Where did this come from? The idea of rating movies by the amount of money they take in? It has become like a sports event, with the talking heads telling us who "won" by late Sunday night. It has nothing to do with how good or bad a film is, and I don't care which Hollywood studio "wins" each weekend.

Unless you have a personal financial interest in the film doing well, why would you possibly care?

I thought the opposite. I want story and Shia LeBauf was excellent. Maybe its a girl/guy think.

How many of America's poor and hungry could be fed on the amount of money that Americans spend going to movies?

Ain't it odd how we complain about the high cost of 'x', yet think nothing of the amount we spend on entertainment?

    Wow. It's average $10 a ticket here.

And no Baron, it's not odd at all.

They even have free movies at 9am on Sat and Sunday. They make the money off popcorn and drinks. Its nice for lower income families.

:bugeye: $3 for a new release at the theater? You must live in Mayberry. $9 here in Kansas City and we're considered one of the most affordable cities in the USA.

Us Brits pay about $12-$14 to see a movie (at least in the better cinemas), but it's worth it for the huge screen and sound.
I will be seeing Transformers but I'm deeply worried about the so called humour in the movie, I've heard a few spoilers and the gags are piss poor.
As long as there's a good few action scenes I'll be happy enough.

The previews look cool, but I'll wait for the DVD.

Anyone see Tideland, by Terry Gilliam? A masterpiece.

I'll looking forward to the DVD release of Inland Empire, the new David Lynch movie...
