So, the traitor is Lewis "Scooter" Libby, Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff. He leaked the name of an undercover CIA agent to the press. The question is, will he be fired? Will he go to jail? Is he the only one responsible? ...and when will he be getting his medal?
Now that's interesting??? I just heard that the reporter Miller hadn't even known about the CIA operative until she read it in the Washington Post?! What's going on here? She wasn't the one who publized the name, was she? She just went to jail because she refused to give the name of her source ....NOT because she leaked the name ......right?? I'm confused now! Well for once that's forgiveable, it is kind of confusing - we already know that Rove leaked the name, but aparently Scooter confirmed it for Miller? I'm not exactly sure myself - and yes she was in jail for refusing, before a grand jurry, to give up the name of her source. Robert Novak is the one who initialy published the CIA operative's identity, no idea why he isn't in jail or something now. The really screwy thing is that I get the feeling that in this whole fiasco miller is the only person who will end up having served jail time. . . what completely corrupt mess, this adminstration seems to be able to get away with anything.
No, I don't think we "know" that yet, do we? It's still being investigated and they've not come to that conclusion as yet. Shall we wait for the investigation before we claim to "know"? ..or shall we revert to a vigilante system of law in the USA? Baron Max
