Do you cut horizontal, vertical, or diagonal? Etc. Where would the world be without bread? OverTheStars 08-01-04, 05:38 AM toasted plain bagel, with mayo, cream cheese, shredded mozerella(spelling?), and small, thin slices of grilled chicken. no vegetables on my sandwich, if i want a salad i'll eat it by itself, not mixed together with my sandwich. whenever i go out to eat i peel the lettuce and tomato off of my sandwich or burger. i cut verticle...or is it horizontal? if i cut a verticle line, i could just turn the plate and it is no longer verticle but horizontal! Communist Hamster 08-01-04, 05:52 AM Horizontal and vertical are in relation to the top crust of the bread Lemming3k 08-01-04, 06:56 AM Cheese and tuna on toast, or just plain toast with butter(always lightly toasted and on white bread), and mostly i dont bother cutting it i just wanna eat it. The world without bread would just find something to replace it, though its a pretty important basic food. Just_Not_There 08-01-04, 09:15 AM bacon sandwich! with toast that is..and tomatoes..nothing else - no ketchup or brown sauce or anything else like that. Cut horizontally. Can't believe none of u have mentioned that yet..thought it would have been at the top of post (or even in the subject line) and echoed by everyone else repeatedly! OverTheStars 08-01-04, 12:03 PM Communist Hamster Horizontal and vertical are in relation to the top crust of the bread gotcha! Nuttyfish 08-01-04, 01:27 PM I enjoy my bread zapped with an Anti-Matter Raygun to dissolve it into its elemental state, then feed a strong electrical current through the individual atoms, browning them slightly. Then I put the bread atoms into a particle accelerator to fuse it together into one slice of perfectly toasted toast. I do the same to some butter and ham and put it all together on the end of an electron ram, pushing it down my throat with immense velocity. Cut vertically, no crust. Closet Philosopher 08-01-04, 01:36 PM I like microwaved sandwiches. This should be in the About The MEmbers forum. Playboy Bunny 08-02-04, 04:44 AM toast with nutella.......or bread with nutella...or just plain nutella...lots of nutella.....yyyuuummmm :D spuriousmonkey 08-02-04, 04:46 AM hagelslag http://www.hollandbymail.nl/item_list/sprinkles/ruijterconfettiplainx.jpg (edit - haha...i started once a thread like this!!!) cosmictraveler 08-02-04, 11:38 AM I like fresh baked whole wheat bread and sliced diagonaly. I prefer Pumpernickle bread untoasted though and usually have that instead of toasted bread. daGUY 08-18-04, 12:32 AM Sliced turkey, lettuce, tomato, and roasted red peppers, drizzled with olive oil, topped with salt and pepper, on toasted Italian bread. I thought of that in a dream I had once. cckieran 08-18-04, 12:52 AM Toasted Foccacia Roll with crumbed chicken, tomato, pineapple and cheese. J. purple_hairstreak 03-06-05, 05:24 AM I love the crisp, brown toasts! Yum! Nuttyfish 03-06-05, 09:38 AM This thread is back? Woo! geodesic 03-06-05, 11:16 AM Sandwich - tuna, with onion, oil, vinegar and a little pepper. Toast - with cheese and baked beans. And now I'm hungry :p vslayer 03-07-05, 03:27 AM sandwich - avocado, lettuce, tomato, cheese bob-bobby 03-07-05, 03:34 AM i go with sandwiches with fillings of , tomatoes , cheese , mayo , butter , letuce , chicken , fried eggs , ham , bacons .... Jinoda 03-07-05, 07:54 AM If it's a tuna sandwich, then it's a a vertical cut with pickle relish mixed in. BLTs (Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato) and Grilled Cheese get diagonal cuts, while Peanut Butter and Jelly can have either (but I've since stopped eating them). Turkey Sandwiches get no cut, but I throw on some dark green lettuce, mayo, and provolone cheese. Those are the main sandwiches I eat. I love BLTs the most I guess, but I eat turkey and tuna sandwiches much more often. purple_hairstreak 03-12-05, 07:53 AM This thread is back? Woo! Yes, all thanks to meeeeeeee! :D I'm the reviver of dead threads. All bow to me! Honestly, people - what has happened to your sense of priorities? Or should that be 'senses of priority'? And why can't I subscribe to The Cesspool (I know, I know..). redarmy11 03-29-05, 12:50 PM I can't believe the TOASTED SANDWICHES POLL has slipped so far down the list. Honestly, people - what has happened to your sense of priorities? Or should that be 'senses of priority'? Prsonally, I like to keep them simple - just cheese and ham. Try to get fancy and add tomato and that, and you just end up with an inedible mush. john smith 06-20-05, 09:14 AM Ok agreed, but even youv gotta admit, a bit of worstichire sauce can go along way if your feeling adventerous......:) Gondolin 06-20-05, 11:06 AM Lettuce, bell peppers, spinach, onions, carrots, salt, pepper, oil and vingear. A wonderful veggie sub. |
