    There was an article in a recent issue of Sci American. It covered this very same topic, and described the way we could survive trillions of years into the future. It also pointed out that in such conditions, life would become like prison, and probably not worth living in the first place. I agree with that. Much like how I would chose death over living in the dark ages, I would do the same when faced with the option of living in a dead universe.

    Which is why along with longevity of life should come the right to decide when to end it. I find it hard to believe that if I could live a trillion years, I'd still get bored with life, even if the universe began to wind down. I could be totally wrong. But I'd love to have that choice.
