View Full Version : Time to get real
After a thread Named "Tolerance" by Xev I'm calling upon all posters to log in as guests and ask the real questions you may have about what it is to be a Gay person.
I also call upon all Gay posters to answer questions as and when their expertise allows.
The reason I invite you to log in as a guest is merely to respect your confidentiality should you require it.
It just seems to me that many of you guys have questions about what gay people do, think, expect etc. I suggest you read Xevs thread before you continue...
This thread may go nowhere but that's up to you! Don't say you weren't given the opportunity chaps :)
Ozymandias 02-06-05, 06:26 PM You can post as a guest here?
exsto_human 02-07-05, 05:31 AM Sure, I have some questions...
Are you a top or a bottom?
What are the advantages of being a bottom?
Is prostate orgasm a myth or reality?
Do you have to use extra thick condoms when fucking strangers in the toilets of gay bars?
oh myyy GOOOOOD, i was expecting ...'what are your favourite restaurants?....."
exsto_human 02-07-05, 01:38 PM Oh.....
bbcboy's looking for a date.......:D
Fraggle Rocker 02-07-05, 05:22 PM oh myyy GOOOOOD, i was expecting ...'what are your favourite restaurants?....."Considering the average age of this community, I was expecting the questions to be just like this.
Being a tolerant, compassionate person who spent most of his life in L.A., I've known a lot of openly gay people, at least openly around me. Believe me, if you want to know things like their favorite restaurants and their hobbies and their politics and their religion, you're going to be underwhelmed by what you learn. They really aren't all that different from the rest of us in those dimensions. Think about it, where can you go, what can you do, that you would be blown away to find gay people going there or doing it? Just about nothing. There are gay Baptists, gay Republicans, gay metalheads, gay pro athletes, gay pretty much everything. There are even plenty of gay people married to people of the opposite sex and raising families. The best father I've ever known is gay and only began living a gay life after his wife was killed in a road accident.
The distribution of gay people across these demographics may be different from ours. Having once been president of a teddy bear collectors' club, I'm pretty sure that compared to us a higher proportion of gay men are teddy bear artists. But you'd have to interview a lot of people to know that for sure. The sample you get here is probably not going to look a lot different from a sample of straight people.
I'll bet you find that the only significant difference between gay people and straight people is simply whether they're gay or straight. Whom they fall in love with and what they do once that happens.
Other than that, the only other thing that might stand out in a sample this size is that a disproportionate number of gay people live in larger cities where the population is more tolerant. Yet the friend I mentioned earlier lives out in the boondocks of the Deep South and is quite content there.
Peace

Sure, I have some questions...

I am a top and a bottom as and when the mood dictates.
The advantages of being a bottom is that men have a prostate gland which is almost the male equivolent of a clitoris. (the distintion is in the fact that the clitoris's sole purpose is pleasure. The prostate has other functions. Prostatial stimulation alone can induce ANY man to orgasm.
Prostatial orgasm is a reality and better than any other orgasm I have experienced with either man or woman. I have had this experience once in my life and remember it fully! (Total loss of all senses except pleasure and it seemed to go on for hours)
As for fucking strangers in toilets, I prefer to stick to blow jobs. They're quicker and the drink you left at the bar doesn't get so warm.
If a fuck is a must then yeah, extra thick is a very good option, as with most heterosexual sex which all of the stats indicate is the biggest source of HIV in the western world at this point in time! Don't say we didn't tell you so! :(
This question made my hackles rise slightly and I'm not certain why. Just a hunch!!
Remember people this is not a 'fight' it's a post about intelligent informative adult lessons in life
analbeads 02-07-05, 07:41 PM Do you have to use extra thick condoms when fucking strangers in the toilets of gay bars?
Do straight people use extra thick condoms when fucking strangers in toilets at bars?
I would. You just never know. I'm married now so obviously I won't be fucking a stranger in the bathroom of a bar. But AIDS is everywhere, not just in the gay community.
I am not gay, but I have many gay friends. Cheers to you bbcboy for starting threads on what is such a sensitive and divided topic for a lot of people.
exsto_human 02-08-05, 05:23 AM lol thanks, bbc boy, your answeres actualy cleared alot of my missconceptions!
And as for the condom question. Seeing as how the anal entrance is (atleast intitaly) considerably tighter than a female vagina I thought that regular or thin condoms might be prone to tear.
If I were to fuck a stranger in the bathroom (woman or man) I hope I would be sober enough to consider using a thicker brand of condom if the sex was going to be anal. Even though statistically hetero-sex is the primary source of HIV I think that purely physiologicaly the risk is still higher to have unprotected sex with a man because of obvious problems like bleeding. The only reason hetero-sex is the biggest spreaing factor of HIV is the fact that there is more of it in the world.
As it might be obvious from the ignorant nature of my questions, which I hope you realize was a bit of a joke. I am straight myself.
But I am very open minded.
Infact, if prostate orgasm is as great as you make it out to be...
exsto_human? that reply of mind about restaurants?...it was supposed to be a joke!
i guess you are american...? where irony is not high on your list of sense of humour....but i let you off. you seem like a nice sincere dude
being Queer for me growing up was tough. i had to hide it away, and that gives a lot of guilt for a young kid to bear. this is why i can get mad about ignorant homophobia. they just do not realize what it does to kids' heads!....a lot of young suicides are precisly because of the hostility to anything not 'pretended' to be the 'norm'
we now REALLY need to all beging standing up for Queers, Queer or not sos this shit dont happen
Closet Philosopher 02-08-05, 06:36 AM don't we have a thread somewhere just for gay discussions? We should put it all into one thread like the "One Thread To Rule Them All: Israel, Palestine and the Arab/Israel Conflict".

Don't worry, I guessed that was a joke. But I wanted to make sure I didn't upset anyone because of the explicitness of my post.
And no I am not american and there is a hint of irony in everything I say because as a non-american I am inherently mortaly cynical.
I enjoy monty python. Now for some that may not score high on their humour list. But they are great and if someone doesn't agree you can go rub your prostate!
When I think about it, if were to meet a guy I was extremely attracted to, I might consider sex... But he'd have to have a realy spectacular ass.
Thanks for the vote of confidence you guys! :)
Be great if the questions keep coming tho even for those unable to post you may just ask the questions they want the answer to.
I'm not asking anyone to 'OUT' themselves here if they aren't already and to EXSTO I would repeat a previous statement of mine.
I firmly believe there is no such thing as gay or straight, simply places to stand. You have chosen to follow the straight path and I really hope it brings you all the happiness you deserve.
Peace peeps

exsto_human 02-09-05, 04:58 AM I share the belief that none of us are either heterosexual or homosexual inherently we are both. It's simply because of different physiologies(hormones), upbringings, personal psychology that we eventualy end up finding our own sexuality.
I was serious about having sex with a man... The reason I haven't done it is because I haven't been attracted to a man.
