I bet Lucifer's Angel wishes she could go to this. It will be at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) til April 2010. They will also be showing his movies. Sadly the nights he will be there have already sold out. I hope its goign to be a traveling exhibit and makes its way to Chicago so I can go see it.

Exhibits like this usually have a lot of commercial backing because they drum up business for the next movie--or for the videos, which these days are BIG bucks. So I wouldn't be surprised to see it trucked around from one metropolis to the next. Maybe I'll get to see it in Washington.

I didn't realize he did the Pee-Wee movie. That is my favorite Tim Burton flick and I didn't even know it. I miss Pee-Wee. Busted for doing what little boys do, how ironic.

I had Walt Disney movies as a child, my children have Tim Burton. People may think he's darker, but considering I cried my heart out when Bambi's mother was shot, I have to disagree.

He is definitely creepy, all of his movies are creepy. What's wrong with your kids, why didn't they watch Disney?

Oh man, those early Disney cartoons. You couldn't get away with making a film like "Song of the South" today!

I had the Golden Age of TV: "I Love Lucy," the Ed Sullivan Show, "77 Sunset Strip," and of course "Disneyland." I still remember the Ballad of Davy Crockett.

So she didn't like the movies about boys either? Pinocchio is just too cute! Tim Burton's works are great though.

she thought the whole old guy wanting a little boy was a bit....odd.
She liked Lion King and Mulan. We are more of a Pixar family I guess.

For some reason both my kids LOVED James and the Giant Peach when they were little and would watch it over and over.

They weren't so gung ho about his other movies though.
