I've heard that before a tick bites a person, they secreate some sort of substance that makes it so you don't feel the bite. Why not study the compounds of it and synthesize it artificially. Or at least study it more? We could discover a new anestheasia.

You mean we don't have enough different types of anestheasia at the present?

this kind of chemical is present in the saliva of many fluid feeders, such as mosquitoes, vampire bats, ticks, and many more
but the main component of their saliva is anticoagulant, a chemical that inhibits blood clotting, and it is found to be very effective in humans and other animals. There has been a drug developed from research on the anticoagulant in vampire bat's saliva called Draculin, which is used to treat heart patients
