This could be a fun way to learn about new places.

What country are you from? What are some good reasons to live or move there?

If you're from the USA , what area and what are its good aspects in your opinion.

Or if you just want to plug some random place, please feel free. Just have fun.

I'm from the great lakes region of the USA. We have four very different seasons where in one year it's not uncommon to see a temperature span of 115 degrees F. We have some of the largest fresh water bodies for fishing and boating and flat farm lands as well as mountains within 5 hours drive of eachother. Many port cities string along the southern part of the lakes where people love to sit out in the snow to watch American football.

    I'm from the Netherlands.
A good reason for not moving here is nature preservation. They are currently destroying all sorts of natural habitat here in order to build new houses.

Enmos, I love you but you're off topic, man.

Where's a Mod when you need one?

C'mon, there's gotta be some things you like about the Nethelands. I'ts not just construction, marijuana and large breasted women, is it?

Reasons to move to melbourne, well i used to live about 30 min from the city (at night), 30 min from the top of Mt Dandanong which was beautiful at night, unfortuantly some of the best places were destroyed in the fires last year and Sky high where we used to go star gazing put up a big fence around the carpark so you cant get in at night

Having a good Health Care system in place. No matter who you are, rich or poor you just swipe your health card and you never get a bill.

Beautiful scenery with lakes, mountains, wildlife.

We have 4 beautiful seasons to enjoy. (This winter was a breeze, we sent all our usual snowfall to the U.S.)

Host of the 2010 Winter Olympics!

    Relatively low crime rate.

Can you please go kick Mark Messer in the butt for me? The ice he's delivering is a disgrace.
    Loved the Opening ceremony though

Yeah, but I just leave when they are heading my way if they are a catagory 3 or more. We can take up to a cat 3 easily here but those cat 4 and 5 are not that easy to stand.

Yeah there was a huge delay in the speed skating yesterday due to the ice.

Before I went to bed I watched the finals in figure skating. The only ones who didn't fall were China, who took gold and silver. I have never seen so many couples screw up one after another after another, like that.

    Thanks, guys.
Shorty, congrats on the mild winter. Canada is the only other country I've been to. Via Detroit, Windsor looks like an oasis when you're coming over the bridge.
I think even Enmos might like Canada, there's LOTS of space to get lost in. Only thirty some million in that huge land mass If I'm not mistaken.

Cosmic, your home looks like a screen saver or something, I've never been anywhere like that before. Thanks for posting. Does the water really look THAT blue and amazing?

    Enmos, quit trolling. (just kidding)

Asguard, do you have a link to pics of your part of AU?

England - which I barely remember at all - and Canada. And, finally, East Korea, which is my home of heart. Also Philly.

You mentioned healthcare. Is it like shorty's, just swipe and forget about it?

How about the locals, what do your friends and neighbors do for fun?

We used to do a lot of camping here when we were younger. It was not unusual
to see a lot of moose in the middle of the road like this.
