Does the technology of Mass Effect have any basis in fact? They go into alot of depth to explain it, etc, and it's pretty interesting. Mass Effect takes place in 2183, and paints a rather advanced view of the future. Most of the technology revolves around "mass effect fields" and "element zero" technology.
