Just wondering what you think of the forum as of late? :D Any comments,etc.

Seems to be in a lull the past week or so. Most of the conversation seems to be in WE&P and Religion. A few good scientific threads still going on though. I'm too new here to be able to say what's normal for the place though.

I've noticied a marked decline in useless one liners, and even trolls. I am happy at sci right now, and I think many would agree. Loving the new look as well...

I've noticed that the "intelligent forums" line has been removed from the top. Coincidence, or conspiracy? ;)

Though usually on these forums it's a 50/50 type of deal. 50 percent of the people actually know what they are talking about and can communicate it in a fairly reasonable and literate way... and 50 percent are people with their heads up their asses. Somedays I find it harder to wade through the muck to get to the good stuff.

It's actually gotten better since the Cesspool was added so that the mods can dump the really stupid posts there and not worry about them.

It's better than it used to be. You just wait til summer comes and I'll be able to think properly once more and actually offer some intelligent thought...then you'll be scared...then you'll be scared

Wow, I certainly didn't see that one coming. People tend not to go for the obvious, but bravo for doing something original.

I think that a lot of new topics that pop up have already been discussed. It's a little stagnant at the moment.

Scifi has been bare for a few months. But it's summer now and it'll be revived, this is the scifi peak season.

Anyone remember last summer when "Fredx" started about a million threads in Xev's honor? There were 9 closed threads in the front page of free thoughts forum and about 5 of them were his.

This place has seen better days and far worse days.

Uh, you are right. Hope he doesn´t mean it. This is one of the best forums that I have found yet.

When I joined, there were fun threads. Like the "1001 Ways to Know You've Been Looking at SciForums Too Much" thread. Those threads were always in the "New Posts" link. After 1001 was reached, however, it kinda lost its excitingness, and I was left wandering in forums other than Free Thought.

There are some interesting threads floating around, but I wish it were the day we were all posting in the 3 Word Story and racing to get Way #1001. Good times. Goooood times.

No worries. I will probably be unable to post in the winter...probably. Quality should improve dramatically if the couch intellectuals are right.
