The ratio between ingested food and the resulting stool


What are the (approximate) quantity ratios between ingested food and the resulting stool (for different kinds of food)?

I need the data specifically for domestic cats for
-- processed can food
-- fresh chicken and beef
-- soft boiled egg yolk.

I don't know how to answer it, but I can say that my nephews seem to have the amazing ability to leave logs floating in the toilet that are over a foot long and about 4 inches or more in diameter. I really have no idea how they do it. Especially the youngest as he never seems to eat.

What's disturbing about this (even more so than the size) is that often times I find these things floating in there with no hint of toilet paper which means the little bastards are running around with shitty asses. God, they're disgusting little creeps. How do you forget to wipe? And they're not two year olds.

Small stuff like the toilet paper would, but the big stuff can get left behind. Same thing's happened to me. Thought I was losing my mind (:D) until I figured out what was going on.

The ratio is pretty much indeterminable if you think about it.
There's too much variables, such as how much they exercise? diarhea? constipation? etc. When you take a dump, not everything comes out; there's always residual "crap" that stick to intestinal walls.
I dunno, it really depends. You can probably come up with an estimate by averaging your results. That's if you control every variable.
