The Singularity

This poll concerns some of the natural events that are due to happen first. There's been alot of talk in many thread about some events that are overdue to happen and others which state that a certain event is the next big thing to effect human civilization.
This poll addresses all that. However, keep in mind this only involves natural events ... not artificial events like alien invasions and WW3. I'll address that issue in another poll.
So basically the question is ... which of the above mentioned natural disasters is most likely the next BIG event to hit this planet? Explain.
NOTE: This poll is not the same as the other poll posted by me. This is concerning natural events. The other one concerns artificial events
i think earthquake. Just because of the frequency that they occur. But the others are gonna happen somtime.Whats your choice?
I think earthquake. You hear about earthquakes happening all the time and they are by no means rare. I think if we keep up our energy-wasting ozone-depleting methods of using energy, we will definitely have a climate shift - ice age within the next couple of thousand years.

Could be beaten by an asteroid impact, but a poleshift is (over)due anyway. Does a lot more than just change the climate, I think, too.

:) I may be way out on this one, but considering the events of present and past, I think we may find a new threat. Our magnetic pole is shifting, we have been bombing (shaking the core and it's magnetic properties), mining (removing vital materials), reducing our ozone layers, cutting down our trees which effects the air and soil erosion, and sending space shuttles up which I feel may be causing damage to our atmospheres and gravitational pull. After taking a good long look at this, I think that there may be a chance of a new disaster.
Then again, I could be just blowing smoke. :m:

i think that either a superstorm or an asteriod impact. personally, i would love to see either one firsthand, so it wouldnt really matter.

Thing is, you don't really see asteroid impacts. Just an incredibly intense ultra-violet vertical stripe on you retina, that won't go away again (it takes less than a second for it to go through the atmosphere). You're blind, probably for life, but long enough anyway until the shockwave hits you. :bugeye:

even if i were blinded for life, the rest of my life wouldnt be very long, especially if i had been close enough to the thing to be blinded in the first place. so it still wouldnt matter because i would have been blinded by an asteroid, which if was to ever go blind, that would be the way i would want it to happen...that is if would want to be blinded.

Well, it may only be a killer virus. :bugeye: With my luck I would suffer for months, throwing my guts up daily to die a slow and painful death. :) But on the bright side, hmm, guess there is not bright side. :D
