tool Love APC's CD Mer de Noms, and Tool rocks. Glassjaw's great, I've only heard one from M@Grav, and NIN would definitely qualify for me.

I add:
Iron Maiden
Black Sabbath
Bee Gees
Stonebolt
The Brothers Four
Nat King Cole
Tears For Fears
>>Massive Attack!
>>>Vangelis!
Robert Miles
Enigma
Hooverphonic
Jump, Little Children
>>>Jeff Buckley!
Our Lady Peace
Jimmy Eat World
Isle of Avalon
>>>>>>Def Leppard!
Disturbed, Godsmack, Papa Roach, Shocore, etc
And guilty pleasures (ah, the shame!): Good Charlotte, NFG, Sum 41Originally posted by Tyler
Medeski, Martin and Wood Interesting, I not-so-recently listened to their CD "Tonic". :) I think I posted it up here at one point, in Goofy's "What's On Your Turntable/CD Player?" thread.

All time greats:-

1. Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix(Experience)

2. Led Zeppelin and The Beatles

3. The Doors and Lynyrd Skynyrd

4. The Who and Metallica

5. U2 and Simon and Garfunkel

6. Iron Maiden and Scorpions

7. Nirvana and Black Sabbath

Guitar wise......Jimi is GOD......he's matched only by Floyd.
Wonder why Lynyrd Skynyrd isn't too popular. Even The Doors were seriously amazing. And Metallica are definitley NOT a sell-out.

An Incubus fan all the way here, also Linkin Park, System of a down isn't so bad, Prodigy definetly. Gorillaz are amazing. I like Limp Bizket stuff too but the lead keeps doing something to annoy me. Any body ever heard of Overseer...this guy is amazing, brilliant stuff.

Pearl Jam has missed their boat, I'm afraid. If they'd called it quits after Yield (Woulda been No Code if not for DTE and No Way) they'd prolly be in here but as it is now their latest work kinda overshadows their early..

The bands I'm most likely to throw in the CD player (or whatever media it'll be then) 20 years from now:

Blind Melon
Soundgarden
Tool
(Korn, they're great, but I dunno about 20 years from now...)
Jeff Buckley
Aaliyah
Rage against the Machine
Gomez
Ok, Pearl Jam. I just can't help myself. :)

yea, I was wondering exactly the same thing

they have a few bad albums, but that's definately not one of them. Almost every song on Houses of the Holy is a classic

Well, I didnt care for some of the singing on the lp..a few of the lyrics are god awful too.
I also think Plant's stage presence got somewhat...ah what's the word? Goofy!! around that '73 tour. I blame it on Bowie and Alice Cooper acting goofy..got keep up with the times.
But wait- I'm a huge fan...but not of the 1973 period.
Give me CO/DA or bootlegs and I'm happy.

Someone pointed this out to me in my forum that people - when telling people bands they like - try to make themselfs sound obscure and thus the cooler they get, they will frequently add bands into their list that they dont know anything about because they have a radical name. Hmmm, wonder how many people have done that here? :bugeye:
:)
