    What are they?

The landmarks that stand out to me?

    1) first time laid
    2) graduating high school
    3) getting out of army
    4) graduating college
    5) baby 1
    6) getting married
    7) baby 2

    *sigh*

A week in a lifetime I suppose. *shrug*

Of course there's a LOT more but those are the real biggies that stand oot.

    You?

I'm only 20, so my list is short. In no order:

    -Graduating highschool.
    -Having sex.
    -Owning my first car.
    -My first apratment.

That's really short. Of course there are miniture events that sorta define my personallity and who I am. But these are a dime a dozen, sorta.

Well, I don't know what I can post here, since what I experience often loses its meaning after awhile..... But regardless, these are those who made me excited when it happened:
    -My graduations (pre-university schools)
-Qualifying for National Physics Olympiad (though I finally didn't make it to the next level)

There they are.. maybe there should be more, but as I said, they tend to lose meaning to me after awhile.

    4) Driving my Ferrari while making love to Heidi Klum

    Enough to weep for?

    • First schoolyard fight
    • My brother selling me out at school when I was 6
    • Winning a fight without question in fourth grade
    • Cutting my own hair ... long story
    • First kiss (Poison: "I Won't Forget You"), grabbing Sally's ass
    • Making out with Stephanie on the floor of the Metropolitan Museum of Art
    • The day I found out Kym was dead
    • Feeling up Kristen in her truck
    • Meeting the love of my life
    • Winning the love of my life
    • First three lays - I wrecked a car each night (seriously)
    • First time smoking pot (bomb shelter beneath prestigious university)
    • Losing the love of my life
    • Delivering the love of my life to a psych ward
    • A day in Woodmansee Park
    • Fending off hallucinations of the Devil which were not my own
    • Getting busted performing oral sex on the side of the road in Eugene, Oregon
    • Second time doing mushrooms - first time "coming home"
    • Performing funerary rites for a ladybug
    • A weekend of drugs & debauchery, including pills, cheap vodka, lots of dope, and very geometric LSD
    • Voting for a winning politician for the first time (Clinton, of all people)
    • Waking up with one of my best friends fucking my girlfriend on the floor ten feet away from me
    • Seven hours spent trying to explain to a woman why we were simply incompatible as mates; she would later bear my child
    • The day that same woman hauled off and attacked me in the street
    • Emma Grace's arrival

There's a number of formative events that people don't necessarily understand:

    • Possible nervous breakdown at 13
    • First drug-induced seizure
    • Various dreams - I remember waking up one morning ready to kill a guy I didn't know because I dreamed he stole my girlfriend
•_My father, when I was twenty, hounding me in what would turn out to be a stunning reversal of family principles
    • Being told that despite my power to preserve and defend life, sanity, and dignity, Jesus was the only person for her heart; thirteen years later, Jesus is out the window and she thinks I'm determined to ride megalomania into my grave. We don't discuss the connection of A and B.
    • Choosing to accommodate poontang; it was for a woman that I let my writing habits diminish for several years to the point that I'm only recently--because of the necessity of my daughter--getting a handle on the dead artist that waits dreaming
    • My mullet; ye gads, I'm glad so few people have seen pictures of my mullet

You know ... I may be damn near insane, but I still wouldn't trade it, and would bask in it again if given half the chance.

    Don't keep a diary

I don't keep a diary. I held myself to five minutes' recollection for that list.

    (1) Birth. HAve to include that. The begining is always important. Though... maybe conception would be better to start with?

    (2) Moving to florida (First time) Left old familiar Cape Cod for the unknown. A week before school would have started... Left all my friends, and was never really at home there.

    (3) Moving back to Cape Cod. This was complicated. In fourth grade, my mother decided she would rather live on cape. So we moved back. I knew one person. Uno. They had known each other for four years already, and the whole place was clicky. Not fun at all. My mother decided she didnt like it up here, so we moved back down to florida, for a year. I ended up having my IQ tested (159 at 5th grade), and bumped up to higher level classes, but then, instead of continuing my education in florida, My mother again decided to move back to Cape Cod, and I have lived there to this day.

    (4) Getting shot in the face. This isn't as bad as it sounds, but basically it involved a patato gun, and my right eye. Can't see outta that shit no more

    That was... 1996.

    (5) Getting arrested (first time). Given, up to that time I had been doing A LOT of illegal stuff, I got arrested for A&B with a deadly weapon. A PING PONG PADDLE. How rediculous is that? Kid hit me with it first, whatever.

    (6) Getting raided. Know that illegal shit I mentioned? Well, one of my boys got caught. Turned EVERYBODY in. Had the feds at my house, took everything. That was a turning point.

    (7) Starting college. And doing well.

all is irrelevant except this moment
besides i couldnt give a fuck about my first time in anything. billions have done the same. nothing special. life is monotonous no matter what angle you wanna look at it.

there is a brick wall in front of me that needs figuring out. until then, life is ....... whatever

    spook:

no happy memories then? No wonderful lazy nostalgic trips into yesteryear? No lasting impressions to take with you into the twighlight years?

we are to a large extent shaped by our life's experiences, no matter how mundane life maybe.

    Great question Wes Miester!

Along with reminding oneself of the "landmarks" of ones life, I think it would also be great to list ones landmarks they still yet wish to reach or achieve. The high points in life I wish to live. Since Wes strikes a very fundamental perception in life, that when I do come to the final days of my life, I will not remember everything, but only moments, and the great thing is, I beleive that the majority of us on here are young enough to create those moments in advance. To be able to decide what moments I would most like to create or experience before I die. I may be biting off more than I can chew but here it goes.....

    Land marks I have already experienced;

#1. Seriously realizing I was going to die one day, causing my first thirst for knowledge in asking why questions to life, not recieving or coming up with a concrete awnser, I just cried until calm acceptance came over me and fell back asleep. Age 5.

#2. My first two wheel bike,(of significance) it was a chopper. So cool! Age 6

#3. G.I. Joe Jet plain for christmas
#4. Getting mad and hitting my dog(best friend) because he wouldn't eat. He was getting real skinny. That was the last time I saw him, found out later he had stomach cancer and it caused him pain to eat. I was to young to understand.

I will try and keep this to positive moments for myself. (Getting a little sad remembering the sad things.

#5. The first time I fought back.
    #6. My first skydive
    #7. My first Motorcycle
    #8. My first masturbation

#9. Actually my first time having sex was a Gong show, The first time I gave anal to a chick, that was crazy awesome!
#10. Trying weed for my first time and getting caught by my sister who started crying cause she thought I was going to die.
#11.The first time I woke up at home not remebering how I got there/waking up somewhere else and not knowing where I was. (Whisky)
#12. Several very calm moments practicing meditation, Up in some snowy mountains, Beside a lake, a stream.
#13. My first road trip on my motorcycle!
#14. Squatting 500lbs (yes, I am a dumb wieght lifter)
#15. Speaking with Mike Mentzer on the telephone.
#16. Completeing two Body for Life challenges!!!!!
#17. My first manly truck(GMC short box, 4 inch lift,33" tires, black and chrome, 350)!
#18. All of my animals, cats and dogs.
#19. Being able to save over 5000$, that was definitley an accomplishment for me.
#20. My first perfect doublehanded nose grab on my snow board
    #21. Several music concerts

And yes, like many others I am sure there has been other great moments which I have unfortunately let slip away into nothingness.

More importantly, the moments I would still like to create are..
    #1. AC/DC concert
#2. Earn 3000$ a month in positive cash flow.
    #3. Own ten properties
#4. See the Great Pyramids of egypt
#5. Go to Mexico for two weeks
#6. Have a menoige a twa (I hope doing it is easier than spelling it!

Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

    )
#7. Free fall for 60 seconds! Doing the Superman towards the earth at gravities full strength!
    #8. Several material things
#9. Live to see public contact with another race
#10 Live to see Zero point energy systems replace fossil fuels!
#11 Live to see the Vancouver Canucks win the Stanley Cup
#12. Earn a College degree or learn another trade.
#13. Build my own motorcycle Chopper! Oh yeah!

Thanks for this opportunity to go over this stuff Wes.

212, shit. How tall are you?

I'd love to be, but I have the opposite problem. I'm toned, but slim, hence I need to bulk up, thing is I have a metabolism most people would kill for, I can eat anything without putting on weight.
