Do you guys know if there is a system yet to like rent a movie online and watch from your computer. Like a new release or something. I know you can through satellite and cable, but can you over the internet also? Is this a stupid question? I was just curious if any company did this yet.

Netflix is the closest to what you have described. No such exact system exists yet because majority of the population still has dial up connection.

I believe they (Netflix) send you a movie to watch on your dvd player. I don't know of any either that will stream into your computer.

Well I guess high speed internet needs to be cheaper and I think eventually it will, but do you think a business like this would make any money... Not that I am going to start this business *Rushes over to the drawn up business plan* Seriously though, would this make any money. It seems like it could.

Well a new video game console due out soon is banking on that.

A new system out soon?? I know that Sony is planning on a PS3 eventually and I am sure Microsoft will bring out another system and hopefully nintendo improves on their poor excuse for a system. Is there another due out that I am missing? I would love to know as I am an avid gamer.

I was going to say what sargeantlard said: it would depend on your connection. It's not a bad business idea though, however it may be difficult to convince the movie industry. They may lose money through it. :)

Believe it or not more than one system is out soon eady to take on the big three.

another is called Discover which basically lets you plug and play PC games on your TV
