I have just watched episode 20 of Stargate season 10, and they havnt finished it off correctly. There was no, "bang, this is the final episode" its was more a "*poof*, this the final episode".

I heard they are releasing two movies about Stargate, I sure as heck hope they correctly stop the SG1 series in a manner correctly fitting its status.

New Stargate movies?
Hmm.
Would these movies follow the original idiom or the comedic, overblown idiom of the series?

The original movie was awesome. The series is pretty ho hum.

(Moved to Sci Fi, by the way.)

Grrr. The series owns the movie. Ok sure, seasons 1-5 of stargate sucked a bit, but they do set you up for the rest of the story from seasons 6-10.

Sucks about the Azguard :(

Too cheesy for my tastes.

Not everyone gets the message. Same happened with Star Trek.

As much as I like it, it went downhill after the first ascended daniel episode. No idea what series that was but I'm guessing 7 or so, of the more recent ones I've caught(just preceeding and beyond the cast changes with vala) it's been patchy ever since. To be fair I didn't catch most of the last series.
Movie was great though.

So what happend the ori turned out to be the asgard or something?

No, the asgard were about to become extinct as a race. Something to do with genetic deterioration or something like that. Just before the cool lil buggers did mass hari-kiri, they gave us all their technology. The "killing" of the ori apparently happened a couple of episodes back :( With the ship with Merlins weapon sent through the ori gate. The asgard gave us their technology as a legacy and because we are the "5th race".

With an updated earth ship (the oddessy), we can now kick ori ass. So to sum it up, the series ended with

- The ori dying (though this is not confirmed)
- That head ori chick ascending... or something like that (something else they were not clear on)
- the asgard dying and us getting their technology.

Other than for the asgard technology which I will not see in use in a Season 11, I felt rather let down by that. No final fight to the end or anything cool.

I ones remember someone descibing the ori ships as huge toilet seats with a flying orb in it. I've yet to see the ending or merlins weopon, I've yust seen that episode where they blow that ancients weapon up. Is their still any threath of the ori or are the fancy ships and new technology going to move to atlantis or that spin of I'f been hearing of?

There's some toilet seat ships left, but a few of them got absolutely owned by the new Asguard weapons on one of the Earth ships, so they've gone from the most menacing threat in the galaxy to a minor inconvenience in 1 episode. As for how they play out the whole Adria thing who knows... to be honest I lost interest in the show when RDA left, I've watched a few episodes here and there but that's it. BSG has taken my scifi time ;)

I used to love the show. I was an even BIGGER fan of Farscape. When I saw that Ben Browder and Claudia Black were gonna' be on the show, I was excited. But then... it didn't work. Ben and Claudia worked on Farscape... they did not work on Stargate. I'm of the oppinion that the show should have ended in season 7 or maybe 8.

Oh-- and the crappy sub-plot of the Asgard going extinct was utter nonsense. Genetic breakdown? Why not engineer a totally new race and implant them with your minds. Any race that advanced would not have faced such a problem. Garbage.

A sad, sad ending to such a good show.

are you sugesting that it would have been more fun if Thor sudenly turned up with a battlestar galactica like body (numbre 6 or something aftherall there was that 1 image of thor as a male viking but they never discusd his actual gender). I gues I'l see in a couple of weeks but if asgard ships could destroy the ori ships how come they didn't do it before (Didn't a asgard ship helped with the first fight against the ori?)

I hated that whole Asguard thing at the end. Because yes, there was at least one Asguard ship in that first fight with the Ori and they couldn't do much to help. Then Asguard weapons get bolted onto the Earth ship and without so much as a test firing they're blowing Ori ships out of the sky left and right.

Sane people don't have the patience to sit through five seasons of suckage in case it improves.

Not everyone gets the message. Same happened with Star Trek.

Message? Er camp space operas have a 'message'? Star Trek hasn't had a message since the original series. The original promoted race, sex, and species equality. The recent series doesn't do anything brave. Unless you count the semi gay droid.

I watched whole seasons I could find 1 year ago. the ending was when the super gate opens and toilet ships starts to immigrate from it, to earth's galaxy.

Then I watched Ark of truth and Continnum.

What happened between them. Can anybody tells me exact episodes (Or seasons) I missed to watch?

Thanks for reading :)
