Hi,

I am getting kind of frustrated, I can't remember then name of this guy, it's quite a famous panting I think? Anyway does anyone know? The link shows the death of a famous historical figure, but I can't for the life of me remember his name.

Marat, after he got stabbed in the bath by Charlotte Corday. She presented him with a fake list of supposed royalist conspirators, and then knifed him in the back while he was studying it. He was in the bath because he had caught some skin disease while hiding in the Parisian sewers during the early part of his revolutionary career. Serves him right, I reckon--he was a real genuine psycho A-hole.

For some reason that reminds me of Candide.

Edit:: I've seen that on a bookcover somewhere. And yes, I know candide is fictional..........
