Since I haven't seen too many sci-fi anime battles here, I thought I'd see if any of you guys have the knowledge to debate these two space empires?

On one side we have the Zentraedi/Maltraedi from Macross/Macross Saga of Robotech, gigantic super soldier warriors with the power to BDZ a planet with a fleet of warships, but incapable of repairing or upgrading their weaponary.

On the other, we have the bioandroid (I think one could classify them) dominated Humankind Empire Abh from the _____ of the Stars series. Long lived, fierce, and smart, they are sure to leave a mark with their space-mine centred tech.

Setting:

Milky Way Galaxy. Neutral sector. No massive presence of either forces in the vicinity before.

Well, I have seen many of the Macross series, but mostly all about the time when the zentraedy conflict.
The history of the "Macross- wolrd" by me, based on the films is as follows:
-Alien ship crashes to Earth (this is the object later known as Macross)
-There follows a global conflict for the technology carried by this wessel. These are the golbalisation wars: the two sides are the globalisation forces (early UN SPACY) and the anti globalisation forces. The movie "Macross- Zero" is playing itself in this era. I guess it's the latest macross movie. Roy Fokker is the only one from the later series, who is in this movie.
-The wars end with the UN SPACY winning the game, and the "prise": macross. The earth is roughly united behind the plan of rebuilding this wessel.
-The people rebuilding the wreckage are like a little colony , surrounding the macross. They finish the ship, and await it's takeoff with a large "party". Tis is the moment, when the original Super Dimension Fortress Macross series starts. And the moment for the Zentraedy appear.
-After this, the Macross folds to space, and the first half of the series goes about the trip home.
-When home, they try to integrate back to earth society, the fail, the earth is being destroyed by the zentraedy main fleet, but their fleet falls apart too in the great battle.
-After the macross land on earth problems rise with the zentraedys who deflected.

In the series, the two titles: zentraedy, meltraedy refers on the basic sex of the zentraedy race. Like: zentraedy is male, while meltraedy is female. These abstractions are more than just this: it represents two different fleet tipes, under the zentraedy high command. While in most of the series, there are zentraedys fighting in pods, in the middle of it a meltraedy fleet arrives, which takes over command on the field, this is Lap Lamiz's meltraedy fleet. Meltraedys appear few in numbers, but they use kind of power armours, the quedluun- rau, which are allmost the best for space combat.
In the end there seems that the so called protoculture created the zentraedy to be perfect soldiers for them, but in time, the zentraedy whiped out this proto culture. They are this big, because of the fact, that they are only made for war. I guess, their size and their lack of knowledge of other things, than war, is allso the reason, why they can't repair their ships. It allso seems, that the protoculture used some genetic engineering in the human evolution too.
