A discotheque is where you go to listen or dance to disco music. "Disco" is actually the genre of music, not the place, but here in the U.S. we use the same term for both. "Hay una discoteca, por aqui?"

doesn't it mean "to tell"? like "tell me about the discotheque"? that's a guess. my spanish is the el worsto.
