the OTHER way is to find out WHY they hate us

some may genrally just be criminals in which case thats why we have courts and cops, but MOST will have reasons (like you just droped a bomb on my daughters weding and killed her then gave the pilot who disobaid his orders and fired a few months in jail)

it all boils down to the way you treat people. If you make it US and THEM then they will see YOU as the THEM and act apropiatly. After all its ok to kill non humans right? (like the iraq civillans or the palistininans or the iraninans or the catholics or the prodisants or the pakistanies or the indian or the muslams or the people who work in the WTT)

I would buy into this if most of those who committed terrorism have not had any bombs dropped on them, or any family members killed. Many of those in Palestine are an exception, I agree. But those who attacked the U.S. on 9-11 have no direct reason for their violence, they were following a fundamentalist religious movement. I agree that some American policy sets it up to be a target, but the target can change in order to satisfy the violent aspirations of the militant ideology.
