I just thought I'd point out that we have approached a specific crossroad.

Johnny Wizard, I am obliged to advise that you are in violation of the one arbitrary speech limitation in the United States. Be advised that your topic post is a violation of federal law and is not protected by the First Amendment.

On the other hand, I always wondered when someone would cross the line.

So congratulations on that.

thanx,
Tiassa

If someone does take him up on the $40 offer, it will be exactly what the neocons need to win the next election hands down. The *only* reason why Lyndon Johnson was elected in 1964 was because of the Kennedy sympathy vote.

I think Johnny Wizard lives in Toronto Canada. If his IP address were shown beside his post I could confirm it. He has posted similar messages on the CityTv grapevine bbs over the last couple years. I'm surprised he isn't already in jail (maybe he just got parolled). And he is probably the one responsible for the large paper posters in TTC bus shelters all over the city, the ones covered in multicolored political-religious diarrea. The only person, such as he, that I've ever met often listened to Ham radio broadcasts by that old freak with white hair who sits in a chair and televangelizes while smoking a cigar -- so vapid that anyone who *derives* a lifestyle from it *must* be a sociopath.

It's so old, TS ... but looking at it for thirty seconds I would say I was referring to at least two references to the President of the United States that are specifically things you can't say. (The law is so sticky that, technically, the phrase, "You cannot say, ________," could be construed as a violation of the law.)

See topic title, also, use your browser Find function to search for "forty dollars."

But ... man, that was like, seventeen months ago, and I can tell you that I didn't need to read the whole thing. I just used the Find function to search for certain words until I found the forty dollar offer; I figured the words would be in there, given the title of the topic.

And lo and behold, that simple search turned up exactly the sentence I direct you to.

I even have to be careful about saying, "Bring me the head of Donald Rumsfeld!" because some people might construe that as demanding his death. I do not endorse such measures; prison will suffice, and bring a better measure of justice.

MTV's The State, incidentally, pushed this line to the absolute extreme, but Clinton was President, so nobody called them out on it. Technically, it earned some breathing room, but as it is a ridiculously arbitrary standard, I like adhering to it specifically to highlight its absurdity.

So... What was that all about, again...? :D
