USING HYPERDRIVE ACCELERATION, THE RED ALIENS WERE ABLE TO RETURN TO EARTH.

However, since solid-state physicist Godfrey Louis at Mahatma Gandhi University has not been unable to accurately identify them, samples have now been sent to Chandra Wickramasinghe Lab at Cardiff University in Wales. His team is now attempting to replicate Louis’s experiments. So far, one preliminary DNA test has come back positive.

Meanwhile, other theories abound: “One Indian government investigation conducted in 2001 lays blame for what some have called the "blood rains" on algae. Other theories have implicated fungal spores, red dust swept up from the Arabian peninsula, even a fine mist of blood cells produced by a meteor striking a high-flying flock of bats.” http://www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/science/06/02/red.rain/index.html

Cases like this are not that unusual. Years back environmental conditions – possible a circulating low pressure zone – sucked dozens of fish out of the North Sea causing them to rain down on Britain.

THE MAIN CONCERN RIGHT NOW: IS THE WORLD READY FOR ANOTHER ALIEN INVASION?

I recall similar reports. Frogs. Vegetables. Grasshoppers. All sorts of things getting sucked up into the stratosphere and deposited in rainstorms miles away.

It'd be pretty freaky though.

So. Your bout of madness over and back to the boring cut and paste then?

About your "All work and no play" thing. You do realize that Mr. Torrence typed this particular wisdom just prior to going all axe murderer on his family? (In the book he actually used an oversized croquet mallet...)

It's always nice to see a photo of a long lost and loved relative. :D

Lots of comments on sciforum say how much more meaningful pictures can be. Just thought I'd have a little fun as a healthy distraction. No relation to the dude above though!

If anyone wants to look into these red cells further, Dr. Godfrey Louis's homepage is at http://education.vsnl.com/godfrey/

From there you can follow his links to download the entire original publication (pdf format) of his paper ""The red rain phenomenon of Kerala and its possible extraterrestrial origin" Godfrey Louis & A. Santhosh Kumar, 04 April 2006 in Astrophysics and Space Science.

Pseudoscience.
There is no proof that these cells are from outer space.
Either:
A. They are organisms with no DNA from earth.
B. They are organisms with no DNA from outer space.
C. A complete hoax.

I maintain that they look like red blood cells. Perhaps the scientist had a shaving accident? :p
