If there were someone who knew everything about your future, and you could ask just one question, (which would be answered truthfully), what would you ask Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I would ask about religion. Specifically, I would want to know which one of them was proven to be the "right" one (if any of them). Then...it's on to world peace.
It depends on one thing : can we change our future if we know it ? If we can't, then I would ask my death date (maybe... in fact I should think about it...).
Suppose that the future is immutable, and there is nothing you can do about it. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
So I can't win to the lotto... or it would mean that it was my destiny! Anyway, as it can't be changed, I would ask my "death conditions". One question that will provide when, where and how. Thus I will be able to do lots of things without dying Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Wait, wait a minute ! If I know when I'll die, I will not be able to jump from a plane "non-stop" until the ground, because I should die... On the other hand, if I know that I will die when I'll jump from this plane, why can't I stay at home this day? Is there an invisible force that makes me get there? OH MY GOD! NO!!!! HUH? You have postulated a very interesting conundrum, to-wit, if you know you will die in a certain way at a certain time and date in a certain place, then what is to stop you from jumping out of that plane? Evidently some condition will manifest itself that will prevent you from doing it. Unless of course that is how, when and where you are supposed to die:bugeye:
That Beauty I was trying to woo...well when does she get a restarining order against me as a hint she isn't interested.
On a serious real note: I would tell that person, I'm not interested in solicited calls or visits and never to approach me again. On a hypothetical note: I would not ask that person anything.....I would hate to seal my fate by my own hands.
I think no matter what you asked it would ultimately alter you future, because you would pay more attention to that thing, or act differently. I would just ask when I am going to die. Then I could live life to the fullest until that day. Knowing my luck, the soothsayer would be off by one day, and all of the very important last day things I would have to do would not get done. Damn Fate.
This question would make sense if the cylendrical theory of the universe is true but what if isn'tPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
