We have a Cat that may be stray but we can't work out if it is or not. The Cat turns up for food after 5 o/c every single day for the last 6 weeks. It has no collar and is always very hungry. However, what we can't workout is why it only turns up after 5 o/c everyday. It is so hungry when it turns up it would be almost certain to come in the day for food but it never does. It's arrival time seem to not be affected by weekends or weather or even Christmas day. It's almost as if it has an owner that only lets it out after dark everyday without fail. Anyone have any ideas on this? It seems strange! We have also been reading a book on cats and it is common for Cats to have a number of homes where the owner believe they are the soul owners. This can lead to over vaccination. Also, on Christmas day he was more hungry than ever so he clearly didn't get an Turkey.
What if you throw a collar on him with a note in black marker written on it? Seems like if he had an owner(s), you would be hearing from them.
Cats are very clever critters. That one knows your an easy touch and as long as you keep giving him handouts he will keep coming by for them. When you stop giving him food for awhile he will just go and find another sucker, errr, nice person to get more food for nothing. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I really doubt that for , as was stated, he looked healthy when they first noticed him. There's always birds and rodents he could catch if he was really hungry! That is of course if he remembers he is a CAT!! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
You could get it scanned to see if there is a microchip ID implant. That's how I found out the cat I took in had a previous owner, and old lady that died. It's true cats develop a routine, it could be avoiding the attention of other cats (or dogs).
People let their cats out all the time and then they come back when they are done annoying everyone else.
take him in, and if anyone in your area puts missing cat posters up, or adverts in local shop windows then you can call them. But please try not to let this cat die!
Guess we will have to do the note thing to have any chance of finding this out. Luci there is no chance of this animal dieing we gave he so much Turkey he could hardly walk. You could see his sides bulging so I gave then a gental poke and he attacked me. I think he has eaten so much he is in pain.
I'd weigh him daily to see if he is getting fatter. If so then others are feeding him or as was stated he is fending for himself. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
good but try not to over feed him! that is bad forhim, and remember cats are always hungry, and wille eat whatever you put in front of them. but good on you for looking after him, why dont you take him in, and look after him?
