FROSTY MOON: According to folklore, Mon Nov 14's full moon is the Frosty Moon. But there's nothing frosty about it. The surface temperature of a full moon exceeds 100 C. Why so hot? The moon has no atmosphere to dim the sun. Sunlight hits the ground full blast, making the Frosty Moon hot enough to boil water. Tonights "ring" could be "like steam rising up from a cup of hot water" Strange, but true.
There was an M Class Flare Monday as well and a 50% chance of another tuesday Nov. 15. So keep looking at the skies!

It was an ANNULAR ECLIPSE, the Moon moves between the Sun and Earth but, because of a tiny difference in distance due to celestial mechanics, does not completely cover the solar face as in a total eclipse. Instead the Moon appears as a shaded disk, with a dazzling, beaded corona around its rim.
