The media play such a large part in almost every Americans life. People view the media in a religuos manner. Most people are not willing to tell themselves that ," Hey, maybe I should use my own brain, my own time, and come up with my own ideas about current situations.

This obviously is not the case. Just look at the whole Iraq incident. The American people Supported the case on fighting Iraq without knowing the full details. The media never gave out precise information as well. Now everyone is saying its the governemnts fault for not having the right information. Maybe if the media had informed the possibility of their being misled information then we would all be happy right now.

Yes, the US media is going to continue to be a problem, so long as the current trend of News Lite™ continues, so long as it remains completely legal for the news stations to knowingly present lies as news, and so long as the White House gets to script all press conferences and no reporter asks akward questions.
