    Anyone a fan?

My favorite is The Adventure of Link. I've yet to beat it. I think there's a problem with my game because everytime I go to retrieve the lion key before going into the final palace, it's not there. I think I might try tackling this classic again tonight.

WOW, do you mean Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link in NES? If yes, I like that the best too among the series. I always like action RPG. Actually, A Link to the Past wasn't a bad game, but it's a verily typical Zelda game: hell tedious......

A Link to the Past was great, also. I had so much fun playing that one. I used to dread playing Zelda 2, but once I understood what was happening in it I fell in love. I know the first Zelda practically by heart. I still know the locations of all of the rubee secrets and the heart container secrets. Second quest, too even. Although only recently did I find out that in the second quest Link can walk through some walls in dungeons. Heh.

The N64 Zelda was fun. I might try playing that one again. I remember first walking up to Hyrule Castle on the N64. It was beautiful. Actually that game was great as were all the others. The first gameboy Legend of Zelda was a good one. I never played the pair of Zelda games released after that one, though I'm sure they would meet my expectations. I was going to buy a gamecube just to play the new Zelda, but oh well. Isn't there a version of Ocarina of Time for gamecube? That reminds me of that Mask of whatever they released for N64. I wasn't too fond of that one.

I miss the Zelda cartoon series.

with the exception of the gamecube version of zelda, has there really been a dissappointing game of zelda? I think they are all great. Ocarina of Time is amazing, I play it every once in a while still. Im still working on Zelda 1, i got my NES back a bit ago, i just havent had time to work on it...although my game did give me a glitch and after only collecting 5 pieces i turned it back on and suddenly I had 7. I havent played Zelda 2, so i cant comment on that. Majoras mask was semi dissappointing, it had a good idea and story line, but the fact that it was a lot of sidequests turned me off to it.

Zelda II is really great. Once you vanquish Ganon in Zelda 1, I suggest either undertaking the second quest(which can be accessed instantly by using the player name Zelda) or buying Zelda II: The Adventure of Link.

Zelda II is more of a roleplaying game than any of the others in that you gain experience points to increase your health abilities, magic abilities, and attack abilities. Once you increase your skill levels to the max of 6, you can begin collecting 1ups like mad in this one particular place. Heh.

The Ocarina of Time was good...the thing that disappointed me was how the game was broken up. I wanted the world to be much larger with more to fight in the open fields than those stupid skeletons and ghosts.

Nintendo already plans a sequel to the gamecube Zelda and there is alrady a new system in the works for 2004. Hopefully it won't suck.

One primary thing, though, that makes me like it is the gameplay...... the stories are seldom connected... or should I say NOT connected?

    Quite the contrary...

The whole basis of the LEGEND of The Legend of Zelda is Link and Zelda are destined to repeat history. Different time, same stage and players. Hyrule is the stage. Link and Zelda are the players.

See, if you pay close attention to one part in The Ocarina of Time, Zelda mentions something to Link about "I think we've met before" or similar to that line when they first meet as children. I couldn't figure out why that didn't sit right with me in the dialogue, only to find out the truth of the legend.

But yea...I get your point. Although several of the games have to do with time. Time is a also major aspect of a lot of my writings.

I'm on Zelda II, myself. Still have yet to beat that mother bastard. I've got attack 5, health 5, and magic 4. I haven't even beaten the second palace, although I've gone through death mountain and picked up the hammer before I saved last. I wish Nintendo would call it quits and hand over the rights to the Zelda franchise. Maybe someone could ressurect the side scrolling style of The Adventure of Link and put it into 2003 format. That would rule!

emulated versions of games are no good unless you can find a port of a classic controller. its just not fun using those 3rd party ones with the fancy colors and whatnot. i have one and the directional pad EATS ASS

    What's your favourite tune?
Mine are the town theme (outside the buildings) and the last palace.

my fucking mom had my two cousins babysitting my brothers last night and those assholes were in my room digging thorugh my shit. they were on my computer. fucking with my video games. going through my drawers and my closet. god damnit i was so pissed when i got home from this show i went to last night, but not as pissed as i am now...

i get up and i turn on my NES only to find....MY ZELDA II FILE HAS BEEN ERASED!!!!

So I go and I bitch at my little brother for it and I return to continue trying to rebuild Link up to where I was. But in the middle of taking a break, I go to rearrange my games that theyve so disorganized(and i swear no one from my dads side of the family has any conception of what keeping things clean is nor do they have any ideas about taking care of shit that doesnt belong to them) and one slides out and lands on my fucking NES, freezing the game(and the 45 minutes of effort I've put forth into a new game slot because I haven't died once to save the game) and causing my sound to stop working. Now I'm going to have to get my NES repaired or some shit becuase THE SOUND ISN'T WORKIGN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IM SO FUCKING PISSED OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think The Wind Waker might be the best Nintendo game ever.
