I liked the single Read My Mind, but I was disappointed by most of the Rest of Sam's Town. Most of the lyrics seemed like annoying, pretentious teenaged poetry. If you liked it, don't let my dissatisfaction in any way diminish your enjoyment.

I haven't heard anything else by them.

I picked up Hot Fuss for a damn fine price (free), and at first listen was impressed. But the more I listened, the less I liked the sound. What starts out with some goth-rock promise ends up a twat-pop sellout. Life goes on.

Never bothered with Sam's Town, although I had read one positive review of it somewhere around here.

This fad(music) is already history in the states. The Euro-fem is Like...so....... 2006.

The Killers are BAD.

I've seen the Killers twice. On their first tour in 2005, when they were one of two opening acts for Maroon 5 in an amphitheater, and then in 2007 when they headlined a stadium. They put on a very good show. Duh, they're from Las Vegas!

But I also like their music. "Somebody Told Me" is one of my favorite songs but there are others on "Hot Fuss." "Sam's Town" is an old-fashioned 1970s-style concept album, you have to listen to it all the way through. (Like Green Day's "American Idiot.") I'm not sure any individual song is fabulous, but the entire opus is. "When We Were Young" is not "Somebody Told Me" but I like it.

They make me wish I was deaf.

The best word I can think for their music is obnoxious. It's all the same synth crap all over again with that guy's monotonous nasal whining layered on top. I think the Killers suck big time. It pissed me off because there's another band called The Bravery, which I think is pretty good, and yet they're often compared like they're the same band.

The Killers is boring shit. The Bravery is highly entertaining, bold and infectious. Comparisons between the two make my blood boil.

i think The Killers are ok, good music if you like that kinda indie thing. I really like Mr Brightside, i reckon that's an awesome song
