I just got glasses today and though I look even less attractive (hard thing to do) in them I love the capability of sight. Who else wears glasses or contacts? They are AWESOME for doth now I can see the world and, uh, stuff........

After having worn glasses for the last 10 years I have went the other way. I now need glasses only for reading fine print. Everything else I can see just fine without them, including the computer screen. At present I am recouperating from the last cataract surgery, having a month remaining until I return to work. I didn't realize just how much vision was lost because it is so slow in happening. It is good to see the world as it should be seen again. I had forgotten what it was like...
Actually. very easy for the surgery. You just lay there. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Pain? About the worse is a gritty feeling to your eyes. That is almost gone now. Don't have contacts, just the lens inserts that were put in when the organic lens was removed.
The thing i rember most about when i first got glasses was the colours, it was amasimng. i had never thought colour would be affected by shortsitedness but when i looked around with my glasses, WOW. As to wether i look good in them you will have to ask TI
Glasses can often improve the appearance of a person. Just like a second pair of eyebrows. I find it interesting that the aesthetic ideal isn't naturally occurring. And heck, geek chicks are sexy! (go for it, Bebelina!)
