• Why announce it? So we can know that he intends this switch. If we choose, we can hold him to it. If we perceive a continuation of the inane by those around him, at least we have his intentions by which to measure what happens next. Some will choose to provoke, some will choose to respect, and some will haul it out at the strangest of times, but one of the reasons I never do this process myself is that I don't think the announcements are necessarily helpful. But I also know that even sincere attempts by posters to be more substantive and even kind go unnoticed by those determined to wage conflict. Flip a coin. Yes, people will likely test TFH on this point, but I, for one, intend to give him the clearance to at least make the run.

I have said in the past that we as posters choose the chaos and horsesh@t. We now have a poster openly choosing away from it.
