The White House doesn’t call it a month long vacation, because they will decorate it with a bunch of day trips in August where he can "discuss" the economy. But, essentially, Bush is out of the White House and plans to be out of the White House for the better part of six weeks. Besides, everything is going pretty smoothly in Iraq, the US economic recovery is right on track, and there are no crises on the Korean Peninsula deal with, so why not?

He'll pop in and out, of course, but you can bet that most of his time will be spent clearing brush on his sheepless, cowless, purposeless ranch. While US troops continue to patrol in Iraq and American families gets a bunch more dead and wounded, we can be assured that Bush will have nearly six weeks of downtime - enlivened by the odd trip or two.

But, I guess all of that dissembling can be quite exhausting, y'know...

:m: Peace.

Mr. Bush I think is on the record books for taking the largest number of vacations of any president.

I guess his job is giving false speeches and saying things like "Bring them On" to the enemy.....where our soldiers are having to die for his stupidity
